Sound perfect for you and in 5 years time when you start thinking the house isn't big enough, slap on a nice loft conversion on. Much cheaper than selling up and taking the next step up.

I only looked at the first pictures, none of the details but i think No3, the No4.

If it's mainly the land which is of interest, did you see this one out in Blindley Heath? (right on the A22 though)

Yes, I had seen that one, but I think accomodation would actually be too small for us. I think the bungalow in Smallfield offers a lot more for the money in comparison.

We've still got a few bits and pieces to do in our house before putting it on the market, so I'm really just trying to get a feel of what we can get for our money rather than particularly selecting a property with a view to put an offer on. Having said that, property in Smallfield seems to hang on the market for quite a while, so you never know (secretly hoping that if I drag my feet long enough, the one in Dyers Field will drop down to £400k or less...)

The same cat appears in three different pictures in different positions, so it'd have to be a pretty mobile cushion!

However much I look I can only see the cat once (in pic 8)! Someone put me out of my misery please :rotfl:I did spot the dodgy bloke hiding behind the plant though - unusual marketing tactic!

behind the plant in pic 4
possibly on the conservatory windowsill in pic 7 (could quite decide if cat or ornament)
And looking super cute in picture 8:)

LOL thanks! I can't see anything behind the plant in pic 4 except an ornament of some sort on the table (and I think it's an ornament in pic 7 too) but maybe that's just on my screen. Glad to know I wasn't missing something obvious anyway :D

As for the houses, it would have to be no 3 or 4 for me - I really don't like any of the others, including your "dream" house I'm afraid. All too modern, boxy, low ceilings, small windows, lack of character... And I don't like the gardens in no 1, 2 or 5 at all either. Small square lawns surrounded by fences (and, I suspect, overlooked by neighbours - photos in 1 and 2 taken from a low angle, possibly to hide this), no mature trees - too sterile for me. 3 and 4 look like they have great gardens.

So, 4 to move into immediately; 3 as more of a long-term project with potential. The ceilings in 3 are lower than I'd like too, but I do like what they've done with the entrance hall and maybe there is scope for simlar kind of improvement elsewhere, to let in more light?

My choice would definitely be no 3 but I like to buy 'potential'. No 6 is my type of house too. I love looking at houses and pretending.....Now I'm off to look for cats and dodgy men ?????

I'm assuming cat in pic 4 and pic 7 because same colour as cat and not there in other pics from different angles!
