  • Apologies for bringing up this old thread. The problem is i've just received a letter regarding this from Rossendales demanding the full amount plus more!

    Where do I stand?

Same place everyone else does with a Rossendales letter. Search the parking forum board (NOT the whole MSE forums) for 'Rossendales' as your keyword. At least two other threads talk about this tedious debt collector letter today alone, let alone all the other Rossendales threads every month on here going back years. There's no point us putting the same old advice on every thread when a search finds you that advice and others in the same boat.

Apologies if I come across a little thick but I'm confused as there are a couple of contradicting answers. On some threads it says continue to ignore. Yet on the newbie post #4 it states reply by yourself, who I trust as you've helped me greatly in the past.

I also noticed that in my first post back in 2012 I admitted to being the driver :(
I take it this also alters the situation?

Well at this stage all that you have said are all 'options'. Not contradiction - choices at a stage that isn't cut & dried, and you must do what you feel most comfortable with (except, don't pay!). You won't get POPLA but I expect they have long forgotten whether you admitted to being the driver and are merely scraping the barrel, judging by all the threads about this letter today, on old cases. If this were me I would send a letter as mentioned by Daisy in one of the other Rossendales threads here today. Can't hurt to robustly respond.
