Maybe but in my circle of friends the intention is there, I have never openly encountered any of those SKI types (I am sure they exist), and it looks like the govt may be looking to restrict the amounts clawed back by the state for care home costs.
I have seen it in a couple of cases but accept it isn't the norm.
I think they like making the political sounds about care capping but I will believe it when I see it.
AIUI the number of people who actually end up in some form of home is low and the number of individuals that stay there for any length of time is low. That is certainly my experience from elderly relatives and friends with one exception.
The cap being thrown around of ~£35K probably acknowledges this. Question is will this amount be sequestrated at the point of entry, thus acting as a paid up policy?
