Went to the beach had a lovely day, but spent £4.50 on lollys on the way up, as we had a very grumpy child in the back cause he was too hot. Then £6.50 on ice cream as we were coming off the beach so £11 which should come from the entertainment budget (need to work out what that stands at)

Also spent £40 on 2 reclining garden chairs.

Morning all, I have an absess :'( it's where i had te and only having a root canal gt rid of it so not sure what willl happen with this one.

Very very wet here today, gonna take the kids for a drive to argos to get new agros books and to grab some felt in b&q, other than that just a day of cleaning.

Plan food wise for today is to try use up the ham i took out of friday, so ham toasties for lunch, and crustless quiche and chips for tea. Going to try get a sack of spuds again today, i worked out that if i buy tesco value small sacks it will cost me £14 a month where as the most i've ever paid is £8.50 (they were imported) so i really hope i can get some.

food plan for the week is as follows (and i will stick to this)

    mon- crustless quiche and chips
    tue- sheperds pie
    wed-sausage casarole with mash
    thur- tom pasta bake
    fri- pies and chips
sat- pizza and garlic bread (unless the inlaws feed us)
    sun- soup and bread

All i need to get threw the week is milk and spuds.

Pulled pork is yummy i've 'pulled' it all and just need to sort the rest of tea, would be really nice in some pittas with bbq sauce mayo and some salad, if i come across anymore mystery roasts in the freezer i might do that for tea on a hotter day with a few chips.

how do you pull the pork? i often have this a Ch!quitos and love it .... it is litterally just pulling the pork apart or is there a technique to it?

    Making me hungry now!!

Pretty much you do a meat rub and slowcooker it then pull it apart with forks, some people mix some of the juices threw but mine was juicy enough without it. I buy pork shoulder whne the vacum packs are on offer in tesco i usually cut these up into 3 roasts and a few casarole portions for us, usually works out about £2 per meal and it's all yummy in the slocooker.

I couldn't get a sack of spuds so i bought a small bag to see me threw until wed so £2.89 on spuds and milk and 20p on parking while we had a wander round the shopping center and kids got an argos book each so £3.09 spends, will be atleast another £3.50 on wed on more spuds.

But making the most of it i'm having a baked tatie with real butter and cheese and the lo honey chilli chicken from last nights chinese.

Thats great thank you!! i didn't realise you could slow cooker meats without liquid!! Always use mine for mainly curry but also the odd bolognese!
Joint of pork is going on my whooopsie radar!!!

I added abit of water to mine because it didn't have an awful lot of fat (think it must have been the middle of a roast) and i was heading out for the day so didn't want it to dry out, but i do roasts with no water aswell as chops and chicken, anything that can be cooked in the oven can be cooked in the slowcooker.

Morning all, NSd today feeling abit unwell :( this day 6 years ago i was on my way to my wedding venue so i'd prefer not to be ill.

Hospital canceled one of the kids appointments for tomorrow so that will save me abit of desil, school meals and uniforms confirmed they have my form and it all went threw ok, last year i left it abit late then they lost it and i had to pay for there meals for 2 weeks so glad thats sorted.

Phoned about kids swimming lessons and was very shocked by the price and waiting list so now i'll be phoning about for a better price even if it means abit more travel. might take them swimming on sat.

Sheperds pie for dinner, and i'm thinking beans on toast for lunch.

Rents due today so thats another £150 gone.
