Mrs Bee, bossymoo is spot on with her advice :T

Sometimes I barely get level 1 done and I'm only working 2 days a week at the moment. Everyone has friends / family to think about and things to do other than housework, and often (mostly) housework is the least important.

I have areas in my house like pigpen's pics. Then I have other areas which are nearly spotless - nb: these areas are smaller than the grotty ones :o.

It does get easier, honest. I've been doing this, on and off, for about 9 months and I found it can take a while to get into the swing of things. You will probably have periods of success followed by periods of seemingly going backwards.

It really is a question of doing little things which all add up to change in the right direction. And not beating yourself up if you don't achieve (or feel you don't achieve) as much as you would have liked.

    Keep your pecker up, chuck!

I've done some decluttering and feel better. Work tomorrow.

    Goodnight all xx

    Good evening :D

Not too bad today. I was working this morning and DD1 & I made Olympic Torch cakes with Miss T. DD1 made the cake (only made 4, but also a victoria sponge) and it wasn't too successful :o I am not too sure what she does to it! Still, the LO enjoyed it, which was the main thing :)

After she left (at lunchtime) I put all the toys away & hoovered through downstairs. Then DD1 & I went to matalan. I know I am not supposed to buy myself anything BEFORE my birthday, but I had a voucher and it ran out today :o I bought myself 2 vest tops, another top, some linen trousers & a suitcase for my hols :j Saved £20, but they wouldn't let me use my student discount as well :(

Managed to clear another hotspot in the kitchen (top of microwave), and clear & polish the table (glad I hadn't done this yesterday as planned, as the 3 children got felt tip pen all over it today). Walked the dog after the children were picked up. Dinner was a joint effort by DD1 & myself - kitchen is a tip now :( I also managed to eat 3 frogs from my list :j So not too bad.

DH didn't make it home at all today - some poop hitting another fan, I think.

DH's birthday present still hasn't arrived from Amazon  It was sent out on 22/6, and his birthday was last Wednesday!! He has ordered me something, and that hasn't arrived yet either :( Amazon have said I need to wait until the 5/7 before they will start to look into it :(

Ok - bedtime I think. It's bin day tomorrow, and I will need to clear up the kitchen (CBA tonight :o)
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them x

Ha ha PP that has made me smile and feel better:) least its your hovel. Don't know how you cope with all your children nevermind anything else! I don't think your family will remember how tidy your house is when they remember their childhood:)

Thanks for the support last night ladies and the pm Kaz :) think I must've been feeling sorry for myself! Again!!

I've flown beautifully today, still need to meal plan but big shop day Thursday ( try n do a two week shop) so will plan around that. Proud of my little self. Bathroom is desperate for some fly lady treatment so bring on the morning :-) DGD 2 is here for the day she'll be brill in there too. X

    All done for today.. finally.
It absolutely CHUCKED IT DOWN today for the torch relay. Both me & my equipment got very wet. It was almost as if I'd gone swimming in the resevoir with the boats! It didn't quite work out the way I wanted to either unfortunately. But we'll see tomorrow if any money was made. :)

I also managed to make the telephone call to Virgin Mobile and discovered all of the extra charges (£15 worth, the line rental is only £13!) were due to 08 numbers etc. Need to get a cheap home phone asap!

Also managed a call to my GP to chase a referral to a neurologist. Moving PCT and going from private to NHS treatment is making everything take so long!

And still not got hold of the guy who sold us the washing machine, which has broken and still within his warranty. We do at least one load every day and there are only three of us here.

Good news though, DH has lined up two interviews this week and I have been referred by two recruiters for different roles.

I really hope this rain goes away soon, it is so depressing and really hard to keep an uncreative, hyperactive two year old entertained indoors!
