I just need to sort the stairs and then I'm done
I have also; talked to Mum about changing her Gas/Leccy supplier - she could have a saving of £20 a month so she's coming back over on Thurs to sort that out :j, popped into DD's school to ask a Teacher to phone me, Cleared and cleaned the coffee table, cleared the small pool table, wiped down stair handrail, mirror, picture, front door, had lunch, internt banking done, sorted post and now I'm going to coffee before I finish the stairs/landing

I also removed a wad of chewing gum thats been dropped on the LR carpet and ground in!! Picked some of it off, washed it with vanish soap and then put Turps on it - it came off lovely but oh boy, a childerbeast will pay for that later!!!! :D

As a "special one" you do know you have to wear a shiny gold cat-suit in week 1, don't you...

    When is babba boodle due?

LW easy does it now. Keep awake vibes to Mr LW who is always a star but recently he's shining really brightly ;)

Done stuff but feeling CBA. Weather is poo & I missed a parcel this morning. Teens still being messy & lazy it's getting me down.

    Recycling out
    Empty recycling boxes in
More stuff chucked in recycling boxes
WM emptied & stuff hung around to dry
WM on again, after a search of the bathroom and DD's room. THERE IS A GREAT BIG WASH BASKET ON THE LANDING YOU CAN'T MISS IT!!
    Kitchen sort of tidied
Arranged to get rid of 2 things on freegle

    Will update lists after coffee.

Oh no! I've only got a silver cat suit!!!!! But - if I do all the lists - will I get a gold star?! PS I love sci-fi! Loved the guy in 'Galaxy Quest' who was worried that he has a red catsuit - as in films the ones wearing red always get bumped off first!!!!!

Oh well, back to Wimbledon ....... x

LittleMissHappy - do you have a cat that could have brought in a mouse - or could a mouse have got in - and died? One of the worst smells EVER was a decomposing mouse I once found under the kitchen sink! It was more than horrible!!!!

Rowan tree - silver cat-suit is fine :) and I'm sure a gold star can be arranged for total list completion - please don't wear yourself out though!

The trip to Iceland took ages as it developed into a trip to Wilkinsons and had to be available for phone calls for work so had to keep abandoning trolley and running out to take calls for work.

Picked up DS2 from nursery and put all the shopping away. Bonus is that I had been told not to go into work today, I can stay at home to do what I need to do, so I now have 90 minutes to try and knock a few bits off the list.

Well, after my cup of tea ;)

Any news on Ed Dusty? Apologies if I've missed an update but I think of him and his family often.

Hugs re your family going to Australia, you are not being selfish you love them but as you know that means setting them free to lead the lives they choose, I hope you get to visit real soon.

I have not had any updates for a while but last I heard there were tiny positive steps. I'll see if I can get more info.

Minimal stuff done here so far but I have deposited some books at the charity books shop, returned something to M&S and done a food shop.

I do have a cat so that is a possibility however that is not a comforting idea :eek::eek: I will definitely be going through everywhere upstairs with a fine tooth comb now (and pray I don't find a decomposed mouse!):eek::eek:

Rotting mice have a very specific smell - sort of sickly sweet. If it is a mouse you will know what I mean and never forget the smell :o I hope you find the source and that it is not too grim. Good luck x

LittleMissHappy - the worst thing was that it had got caught in a 'humane' mouse trap that was stored (in the 'off' position) under the sink. This poor thing must have knocked the trap over whilst it was exploring and we didn't know. We felt awful when we found it (tracking down the smell) as we wouldn't have left it to die - we had an influx a few years ago but caught them and set them free in nearby woodland.

But the smell was awful! Like Bonnie Bumpkins says, really sweet and sickly. The good news for us was that (and look away now any readers of nervous disposition) it had dried as it decomposed, so wasn't that awful to deal with.

Good luck - and I've just had another thought - the second worst thing (nearly) I've smelt is when some full-fat milk had been spilt on a furry rug and left - that was awful - but maybe less horrible to think about and clean up!:)
