or there is a bit in the comping guide doing it this way, i tried it but couldn't get on with it that way..
(was trying to find it for you)..

10 How can I put a picture in my post?
Once you have found the image that you want, you need to obtain its properties. (Right click the image & select properties). The properties should end in .gif or .jpeg
Highlight & copy the image location, then return to your posting screen on MSE. Put your cursor in the post where you want the picture to appear.

Click the 'insert image' icon & remove the 'http://' text from the box which appears, (as mentioned above) & click 'OK'.

Preview the post first because the picture may be huge & stretch the page which is a bad thing. If the Preview looks OK then when you submit the post should too.

I've no idea if this is right place Having problems entering FB comps, the entry buttons highlights but when press it nothing happens? Driving me mad! Any ideas pls, thx

Thanks for the explanations re pictures the 3 of you :T I will have a practice later, just came on to check my emails. Nothing as yet, just a validation email regarding the instant win of my Vue cinema ticket.

Although the postman did have to knock before, getting me all excited just to deliver DH something he had ordered via the net, but didnt tell me. :mad:

My DH is always doing that. I keep asking him to tell me when he's ordered something. Best of it is, when I hand him the parcel and ask what he's been buying now he always says "Nothing I can think of", it's always something he's bought and forgotten about, shows how much he wanted it.

You haven't got a Pop Up Blocker on have you? Some of the FB comps open in a new little window and if your PC is stopping them from opening that could be the problem.

No luck for me either. Finally got my other WEM from the Vue comp for the Sony Walkman though - was starting to think it wasn't coming!

Hi everyone, hope you are having a good day. Not been around much since Wednesday as have gone to stay at my Sister's in Hartlepool for a few days. probably home Wed/Thurs. I have just popped on now and again to see what was going on as my Sister has such an slow computer I have lost the will to live let alone comp.

Well Weeowens all I can say is DON'T YOU EVER SLEEP? I Do thank 99.9% of the time, if I miss one it usually just a senior moment. By the way I do appreciate that you often add terms and cons to comps etc and always thank if I see it. I suppose its good to get things off your chest. I'm still fairly new but often look to see how many have thanked compared to how many have looked and noticed that it's only about half which surprises me.

I have only found 1 comp that wasn't already on and had to get the help of someone else's kindness to post it for me but I do look for them. Having said all that I am still amazed at everyone's kindness and not only posting the comps but also supplying the answers.

Anyway, it seems to me that there have been and lot of take-aways and booze going on over the weekend, (we went out for fish and chips Sunday so we are as bad) Need to get back to healthy eating.

On that note - Firefly your salmon sounds very healthy and my favourite so dont forget to save me some! Sue your pork also has my mouth watering - dont forget the apple sauce.
Vikaroo nice to see you dropping by and good luck with the comping.
Sheils your kids are going back to school early ours dont go back till Sept.
Sorry if I have missed anyone and thanks for all the nice pics, I especially appreciate them.

Well thank God someone else asked about posting pictures, sorry forgot your name, thanks Firefly and Weowens, with a sort of mixture of both your posts I think I have finally cracked it. It has been bugging me for weeks, did it once and then could'nt do it again. Felt an idiot asking again.

I am now going to be brave and ask another question which is bugging me! How do I check my thanks to see if I have posted a comp, do you mean when I go into a comp and see if I have thanked the OP or am I missing something whereby I can somehow check all my thanks and see what I have entered? Sorry for being so dumb!

You can see all posts that you have thanked by clicking on your username at the side of your post and selecting 'Find all thanked posts'. I think when people say 'Check your thanks' it's when a comp has been posted before and then been extended. They usually post a link to the original so that you can have a look to see whether you're entered it from that link.

am doing it with new potatoes & a crispy salad
