Morning all. I'm being very organised this morning and have just put a nice piece of Loin of Pork in the oven for lunch. DH has work this afternoon so I'll do a few roasties and veg and that will sort us for today and tomorrow and probably a few sandwiches too.

Really enjoyed the Closing Ceremony last night, apart from George Michael, I just don't understand the appeal of him. I find it amazing that with his history he's still revered and chosen for such high profile events. Just my opinion, sorry if it offends any of his fans.

Hope everyone has some luck today yes.gif

Thought I'd start 'showing my face' here a bit more now that I've got a bit more time :) I've been comping for two years now, although I say two years in total it actually probably adds up to no more than about 5 months on and off of actual comping, but I'm starting to realise now that hard dedication pays off so I'm getting really into it now, it's become a real hobby! Good luck everyone this week, I look forward to getting to know some of you a bit better :j.

Good luck comping vikaroo ;) I don't enter as many as I used to now and not winning as much lately but I've had my far share in the past! Been too busy on the bloomin' vue comp this morning!

Welcome to the Inn Vikki, hope you're going to bring us lots of luck! I have to say that as I said it to Sophie the other day and a few of us had wins....including her :D

Hope your certificate comes today Becks, it will be good to get things sorted so that you can settle down into married life.

Welcome Vikki - hope to get to know you too.
Your baby bunny pic has just been sent to DH's aunt fire**fly - thank you.
Wingo, DD will have been on holiday for over 7 weeks by then. Will be glad to see her back but will have DS1 back just after that - don't know how long he will be staying and DS2 will probably come then too. Can get a bit busy here.
You seem to have the meals well organised Sue. I was more organised when DH and I were working. Hope your DD enjoyed her break.
Hope your certificate comes soon Becks - my official one had to be posted from Vegas which I worried about at the time. Everyone took the hand written one that we had in the meantime as they weren't any the wiser about what an American Wedding Certificate looked like!

  • I`m so on edge from waiting to find out if the house we applied for is ours or not. If so, I`ll be doing a happy dance. If not that`s 200 of Her Majesty`s English pounds wasted on merely applying. Letting agencies are such a rip off ><
  • 6a00d8341c9cc153ef015432918c53970c-popupThis thread has moved on loads since I was last on it.

Ive decided to not bother with the Vue comp anymore, I found the post and saw the prizes, there's only the TV that I would want, but to be in a chance with that you have to be in the top 10, never going to happen.

I always thank the OPs of comps and any other useful info in the thread (as I would say thanks whenever anyone has done something to help me), but I also press enter as that tells me Ive entered (I always use a spreadsheet too). I didn't realise that there didn't use to be an enter button and it did seem strange to me when people say "check your thanks" as this seems a very long winded way to see if you've entered, but I get it now. Thanks.

Well a new week which means a whole 6 days of post and 5 working days (Id expect to be more likely to get a WEM on a mon-fri) so spreading lots of luck to you all. Lets have a lucky week :)

Been trying to insert an image of a four leaf clover, but I cant do it. Any help would be very much appreciated :A

good luck with it. Agree about Letting agencies, have you tried to find a landlord that doesn't go through an agency? Thats if they exsist:rotfl:
