evening ladies,
hope you are well
uu elemis frangipani shower gel - my favourite shower gel, it smells heavenly, I have more in the stash.
happy pampering, xo0 -
Willowbee - glad you got thro yesterday Ok, hope you managed to get some sleep last night.
Fiasco - Happy Birthday!
Tokkiandoliver - congratulations!
Itzybitzy - that is one huge list of in's!!!! Bet you had a smile on your face when you saw all that lot!
Mingle - what bread of cat is Sebastian ?? I ask because my parents have a Maine Coon (Sam) and our old neighbour used to call him the local Mountain Lion!!
I have two cats, both beautiful longhair Persian girls, one cream and one blue colurpoint. Angel and Affie. Both rescued as adults from families who no longer wanted them.
I will never understand why people get a pet and then decide to throw it away like chip paper when they are board of it. But it was my good luck in the end - both my girls are amazing:D:D:D
In fantasy land I would love a white tiger. Had the oppertunity to spend lime with some cubs last year, I fell in love...... In 'real' life, eventually I would like a German Shepherd - once I can spend enough time at home to look after it. I also feel a little selfish in saying it, but I would love a Persian kitten. Since I moved into my own home I have addopted all of my animals as adults. They have given me such joy that I would love to watch one grow up in front of my eyes. Maybe one day....
I will use it all up no bother, i just had trouble finding somewhere to store it all haha!Total debts = [STRIKE]£3116[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]2216[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£2066[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1916[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1766[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1616[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1466[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1316[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1166[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1016[/STRIKE]£866

Valm - bengal tigers are gorgeous creatures! They would scare everything away tho hahahhaa
Went to the cinema yesterday to see Spiderman and was thrilled to see a trailer for Life of Pi. I absolutely adored this book and the trailer for the film was stunning. The Bengal Tiger looked gorgeous. Maybe this is where I get my love of them from.
Was not overly keen on Spiderman by the way. Much prefer the Tobey Maguire films. No doubt it would go on shoes!!!
Deo for this weather - I have found my Mitchum solid stick to be great. Half price in Asda at the mo too.
I seem to be doing quite well on the not buying toiletries front - if I could only say the same about buying clothes!!!! I have no idea what has gotten into me:eek::eek::eek: I seem to be constantly using the 'I need this for my holidays' phrase. It has been years since I have been on what I would call a 'true' summer holiday - I always go to the states to see my family in November (thanksgiving!) each yr. Although we do trott off to Florida/Arizona now and then, it's still usually December, so not the height of summer.
Going to LV in Sept has brought out the shopping monster in me!!!
Question for you ladies - on the subject of shopping....
In March I bought some shoe on the high street as they were reduced and would be good for my holidays (!). I put them on in the house for the first time yesterday and the beads on the shoe have started to fall off. So, I packaged them up back in the box with the reciept and was ready to return them on Monday. Talking to a friend last nigh, she thinks I have a cheek, as I have had them for 4 months. But as I pointed out, I have only had them on my feet for less than an hour and they are falling appart. So in my mind they are faulty goods and I am 'entitled' to return them. If I had just decided I did not want/like them that would be a case of 'tough luck'!.
What do you guys think?? Do I have a case, or just cheeky??
I'm the same way at the mo scrappie. I come on here being all virtuous about not spending on cosmetics but have bought so much for my hols recently. Like you though we usually go away later in the year and can make do in the Summer in this country as we never really get one.
We went to the Trafford Centre yesterday as it was Emma's birthday and she wanted to spend her birthday money. I got some extra t-shirts from M&S and a really nice fitted petite one from Next.
Went into Superdrug but only bought necessities: 2 x V05 Give Me Moisture shampoo and 1 x conditioner (same range, same variety). Also picked up a tube of After Bite for the hols. We had actually run out of all shampoo and conditioner. Emma was using L'Occitane sachets yesterday and I ended up using a concoction of Philosophy Gingerbread Man shower gel and TBS Earth Lovers Fragrance Free Shower Gel yesterday. My hair doesn't feel too bad for it either! So 2 more UUs as well.
Also went into Boots but only because I couldn't get Travel Bands from Superdrug. My hairdresser has recommended them. Was going to pay with my points but when I got to the counter the SA said they were on offer buy one get one half price so couldn't pay on points as I didn't have enough for the total price.
On the point of your shoes scrappie I don't think you are cheeky. I'm sure if you point out to the retailer that they are defective you will have a case for a refund. Someone I used to work with returned a bra to Bravissimo as she had only worn it twice when it became discoloured on the straps and they were fine with her. I can't remember if she had the receipt still or not but the fact that you still have it is a point in your favour as well I would have thought. Where did you buy them from?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Oh dear, it was all going so well, fell off the wagon yesterday.
My first purchase was some citron hand recovery from Crabtree and Evelyn. I don't feel too bad about that one because I have almost finished my current tube and I love it.
However, I do have a boots no 7 in stock (bought with one of those £5 vouchers) so I could have waited. Might use that as a body scrub instead, it was poor compared the the Crabtree and Evelyn one.
The next purchases are less defensible. I got tempted by the latest L'Occitane offers and bought a pack of 6 x 75 ml shower gels reduced from £42 to £18 - but on reflection you can get a 500ml supersize of some of their shower gels for £18-£20, so it wasn't really worth £42. They will be nice for travel though and I do travel quite a bit. And if all else fails I can keep them together and give as a gift.
I also got a sorbet verbena body scrub, at least my stash of scrub is much smaller than body lotion and shower gel, should get used this year.
That then meant I could get the verbena gift set for £12.50 instead of the £25 they say it's worth. Again I guess I can give as a gift, but I might take on holiday next week. The verbena is a lovely smell for hot summer days and I should get those in Bulgaria.
Two UU
- a 20ml Clarins one step gentle exfoliator. I do like but don't think I need to scrub my skin daily - my cheeks are a bit sensitive.
- Crabtree and Evelyn Jojoba hand cream. WMBA - I love the texture of this, but its no nicer than the other C&E handcreams and I like the smell of the others more, esp the Citron and La Source.0 -
Valm - I loved the Life of Pi and reading your post was the first I have heard about the film and am now really looking forward to that. I wore the wrist bands for sea sickness when I was pregnant with my first child, mine were very tight.
Raining here at the moment. Hope the sun comes back out. Have a good Sunday everyone.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I bought this after reading reviews about how good it was, and I have to say it keeps me stink-free all day.
I have also bought the 24hr deodorant version, but haven't tried that yet.0 -
I have a few ins and outs to declare all ins were needed.

Thanks for the replies guys!
Valm - I got them in Dotty P's - they had a 30%off sale at the end of March. Reciept is in the bag, shoes are wrapped up in the tissue in the box with the sticky price lables still on the sole. I'm going to take them in and see what they say. TBH, even if they give me store credit that will be fine - I need some 'posh' sandles for my hols!!!!

Lovely Elemis gift. I love all those products. What did you have at Jamie's Italian? We are eating out tomorrow night for Emma's birthday. She has opted for a meal at the Harvester. I am really looking forward to a plate full of ribs and a dessert. x
I hope Emma's birthday meal was nice Valm. We opted for the Jamie's Feast which is a sharing plater for two with anti pasti and a selection of dishes including asparagus risotto, pollo millenase (sp?), pollenta chips and chicken arrabietta. It was lush and cost £15 per person. I was quite impressed with the menu. First time trying this one. My best friend I was with is a die hard Gordon Ramsey fan and we normally head to one of his places on my birthday. I am quite happy either wAy as it is part of my birthday treat.
I think you have nothing to lose by trying to return the shoes Scrappie. Hope you get a good result.
Another couple of UU's
Elle McPherson bath soak -WMBA. Had this for a while but not used as I am a shower person. It was an ideal size to take on holiday with me so it got repurposed into shower gel.
Colgate freebie toothpaste - I like freebies so will look out for any more.
Listerine mouth wash 250mls - the bright blue one burnt my mouth so I WNBA. I have bought the zero range as a replacement but I'm not counting it as an in as I have it under control now...unlike my hair products.
Mammoth INs
11.....yes....... 11 cans of Gum hairspray. Found it on HB in Cardiff.
