:)sorry been away for a few days,had a night at a lovely (but v expensive )hotel on the norfolk coast,our room was the cheapest at £130 bandb:eek:(I managed to get them to knock £10 off the original by saying we would have dinner there....also expensive!)It is such as shame as used to be good value in norfolk before it became "Chelsea on sea:("in our fav hoiliday village the school is now closed and it is just like a weekend holiday camp for 2nd homers:(:(:(.
We had a fab boat trip round the creeks and picked samphire to bring home along with huge oysters...mmmmmmm
sadly DH and I again argued once home due to his lack of interest(dirty night away did not happen:(:(:(:(:(:(:()I am now in the spare room as decided pointless sleeping in a bed with a monk!!!!strangely he seems to miss me but tbh I am sleeping better as no one snoring next to me:rotfl::rotfl:we did go dancing and had a good time last night,feels like going out with a brother not a husband.
sorry to ramble(again) re pets we have one cat who is 12,re £100 would put it towards paying the hotel bill(which he asked me to pay,talk about adding insult.....) of £250:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
we were so long on the boat I did not get chance to go to the shops so saved there:rotfl:
no more ins,talked to a woman last night who only uses cold water on her skin,she removes make up with cold water and a flannel:eek:...she looks okay on it so makes you wonder.
bit annoyed as a woman who bought some clarins off me on ebay two weeks ago has still not paid or been in touch:(other people bid on the item so could have sold elsewhere.
hope everyone well,have a good week0 -
Mingle - what bread of cat is Sebastian ?? I ask because my parents have a Maine Coon (Sam) and our old neighbour used to call him the local Mountain Lion!!
Sorry for the delay in replying- I've been fulfilling maid of honour duties all weekend
Sebastian is a moggy so for all we know he COULD be part lion hahahah!
despite slathering myself in lotions and potions all weekend I am yet to have a UU0 -
A uu to report today, BS Moringa Shower gel, I used up the last of it as bubble bath last night rather than having it hanging around for days. WBA as it is lovely and already have another in the stash.
Also I had ins yesterday - Models Own nail polish in purple haze I think from the bettle juice range and also the Ibiza Mix, they were on 2 for £8. Haven't spent much overall this month. Have booked a trip to Chester next month and will be visiting Cheshire Oaks so will probably purchase there, I really want the L'occitane rich body cream, have tried a sample and it smells amazing but it is expensive and I don't even have dry skin so not sure I can justify this.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Fallen off the wagon so badly it's left me behind!
Got the Bag of Joy from Body Shop (3 body butters, 1 mask, 2 shower gels, 2 deodorants and an eau du toilette) and just ordered the new complexion kit from Benefit. Make a space on the extra naughty step!0 -
No UU for me yet but no ins either
£100, hmm. I would spend it on a meal out or DH would spendit on clothes for himself. He's spent tonnes recently :eek: and keeps moaning at the children for wearing their new clothes. It's silly really, he's saying they shouldn't be wearing them because they're for holiday and that he hasn't worn his holiday clothes but SIL and I pointed out that the kids keep growing so there is no poi t for saving their stuff for best. They'll only wear it for 2 weeks then!
1 week and 6 days until holidays. I can't flipping wait. Am starting 3 nights tonight and am glad really because DH has sprayed something around the house which has made me sneeze constantly. I must have sneezed 100 times today, it's madness!
Today's question; what do you drive and what is your dream car?
I drive a ford fusion 2 meh and would like to upgrade it to a Toyota yaris next year. Dream car would be a fully kitted out Toyota lucida with electric curtains and whatnot but I'd need the money to run it!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek: :eek: :eek: £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Have 2 UU to report -
L'Oreal Exfotonic scrub - this is probably my HG, shame it's so difficult to get hold of!
Avene Cleanance Lotion - WBA, it's my HG day cream but went and bought the Hydrance Legere UV which seems to not be as hydrating as the Cleanance one even though it's from the more hydrating range....I like that it sinks it really quickly though and leaves a quite matte finish where as the cleanance feels a bit tacky sometimes so you need to leave it to sink in. Will see how my skin feels in a couple of weeks, might have to invest in a facial oil for some more hydration.
As for today's question;
I drive a VW Polo 1.2 called Dave. He's my first car and I love him to bits. I don't know what my dream car would be, there's too much choice! Would like to upgrade to a Golf at some point, but I'm content with my little Polo for the moment.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I drive a Ford Fiesta which is perfect for me - small enough for nipping around London but not so small I feel unsafe on the motorway - still got enough zip to get past caravans and lorries etc.
I would really struggle to say what my dream car would be - would need to have my dream house with a garage to keep it safe for a start - London isn't really a sensible place to keep a flash car on the street.
To be honest, unless I win the lottery (unlikely as I don't buy tickets!) until such time as my current car gets old enough to go wrong a lot (only 2 years old at the moment and drove my previous car for 9 years) I probably would stick with what I have. Otherwise with a new car sum of money I'd rather pay more off my mortgage or go on a nice holiday (with a spa of course).0 -
