TOTAL UU's in 2012: 588
Total UU's in 2013: 210
INS for 2013 starting March: 80 -
Another UU (from BF's flat) :T- OS tea tree and mint shower gel WBA good value and nice refreshing scentLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Having said I dont think there will be any UUs before the end of the month, I promptly use up my homemade salt scrub...
WIMA ( M = Make!) no. For anyone who doesnt know, I poured a packet of sea salt into a bottle of shower gel in the hope that it would make some sort of scrub... It did, but it wasnt very good !!!! Still, at least I wont be wondering if its worth trying any more! Might have a go with sugar, but have a feeling it will go the same way....
£100 ? Id probably buy something for Maisie and the horsesDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
:rotfl: not at all.....I am getting the 400mls of cleanser and toner with PCMC :T
Thanks for the pre birthday wishes. Got a lovely day planned and I am heading to Jamie's Italian for my birthday meal.
Lovely Elemis gift. I love all those products. What did you have at Jamie's Italian? We are eating out tomorrow night for Emma's birthday. She has opted for a meal at the Harvester. I am really looking forward to a plate full of ribs and a dessert. xHello!
THANK YOU for all the lovely good wishes, good lucks and hugs! I needed them! :A
It was a very long day (I had a nap in the afternoon to cope). It went well though. The nicest thing was that we all gathered for lunch afterwards and it became about strengthening family ties. We went to the place my Grandmother chose for her 100th birthday so that people would have a nice memory to think about after the funeral.
Of course the day was very odd in some ways, but that's normal I guess? My bro thought he was going to faint at one point which is totally unlike him!
Question for tomorrow?
Do you have any pets and what creature would you like to have if there were no practical limits (and the animal was perfectly well cared for and happy?)
We have three grey cats and a snake. We also have lots of chickens (40, maybe? It seems to change a lot).
I'd quite like a llama. That's not impossible...In the impossible dream scenario I'd have a family of meerkats. Or a snow leopard. Or a very nice horse. (Ha! I need to go to sleep. The meds make me feel a bit drunk and I prob won't remember typing this tomorrow). Elephants are lovely, of course...(Someone stop me before I name every creature in the animal kingdom! :rotfl:) BEDTIME.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CHOOSE A BETTER QUESTION! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I too am glad that the day went well for you Willowbee. It's lovely that you all got to go back to the last place that you had a celebration with your grandmother.
Pets: We have 2 Netherland dwarf bunnies, both girls (sisters), called Smudge and Sophie. They are lovely.
I think I'd love to have a Bengal Tiger to scare off the cats that come into our garden!Morning all.
Valm - I love Rebecca too and also read a book called Rebecca's tale but can't recall the author, that was good too. I read Daphne de Maurier's House on the Strand a bit back and totally loved it. Let us know what you think of Fifty Shades, tesco have a shelf full of them so I had a scan but couldn't find anything interesting, it has been slated a bit in some reviews as being repetitive and having unbelievable characters particularly the man.
Ah now you've said that dolly I remember it was Rebecca's Tale that I've read not Mrs De Wynter. I've also read The House on the Strand. Other du Maurier books that I've loved have been Jamaica Inn, Don't Look Now and The Glass Blowers.
Fifty Shades is not the best written book but then people aren't reading it for it's grammar and prose! The characters are unbelieveable - to me it's like reading a Jackie Collins. The Mr Grey character for me is too young to act the way that he does - he does remind me of the Richard Gere character in Pretty Woman. Going to have to find something to read for my hols tomorrow though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Thank you Fiasco and Valm for your replies re the Susan Hill books, sounds like they are a bit hit and miss, maybe I should avoid reading anymore unless I come across one thats highly rated.
It seems I didn't read any after all! It was Rebecca's Tale that I had read.tokkiandoliver wrote: »I had my final review at work today and I got reinstatedso job secured for now
So to celebrate, I went shopping and found one of my wishlist polishes:rotfl: (Dior Aloha)tokkiandoliver wrote: »QUESTION TIME!!!!!
If you found £100 on the ground, what would you buy? (You can't say..I'd pay bills or other rational things haha)
Well done re: your job.
I googled Aloha and agree with maddiemay that it's gorgeous.
If I found £100.00 on the floor I would lavishly spend it on OPI totally guilt free because it was not my money! lol.
Repainted my finger nails last night and am wearing Leighton Denny Supermodel.
2 more UUs to report - maybe the last for July:-
DKNY Golden Delicious - WBA - this is lovely.
L'Occitane Verbena soap. Would buy their soap again and am thinking of getting the Cinnamon and Orange one should Philosophy not release a shower gel similar to Harvest Spice this year.
Have "found" an opened bottle of TBS Earth Lovers Fragrance free shower gel and an opened travel bottle (decanted from larger bottle) of L'Occitane almond shower oil so will use these now before my hols.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Not a great month. I've tossed away an Estee Lauder GWP size mascara, it was getting clumpy. Replaced with another GWP size from the never ending stash. Everything that is opened is full sized. The travel sized from the road trip below will be used up as soon as the full sized stuff is drained.
Had to head out to BC for a Celebration of Life. Oldest bestie had a death in her family and needed an extra set of hands to deal with her family. I'd have went anyways. Longstory short? Nearly turned into my big fat gyspy funeral complete with a relative in full RCMP red serge and an attitude that stank. An expensive cake tossed by the family. Managed to hussle the parents of the deceased out in under four minutes before the feces on the fan started whirling.
I'm on a no spend binge because I'm doing a 10km in Las Vegas in December and had better get some extra cash together. My bestie is going with her daughter and we are going to have a few drinks to get over the funeral day from hell.
If I found the cash, I'd get a manicure and a coffee and dessert at the posh Italian coffee shop down the road.0 -

If I found £100 I would spend it on a some really nice meals out with my fiance on the holiday we're heading off on next week. (We're meeting in Bulgaria, he's stuck overseas due to visa issues at the moment so I only see him on holidays
)
One UU, a gift with purchase size Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment. It was nice but for the money I'd rather get the L'Occitane or Aveda ones.
On the positive front, managed to crush the desire to head off to Debenhams today to get Clarins products that I didn't really need to get the gift with purchase by reminding myself that I've got more than enough Clarins samples upstairs to make up the equivalent of at least two gifts with purchase.
Will be sticking to plan A to find myself a decent but discounted suitcase for my holiday, having finally ruined my tatty old one (plus a couple of my favourite t shirts) with a leaky sunscreen on my last trip that refuses to wash out. Ashford outlet centre here I come.0
