Oooh, can I join in please? It's a bit late in the month but I had started doing this towards the end of last month writing the UU in a notebook. Suspect posting online might be more motivational.

Welcome to the thread - it really does help.. It also makes me stop and think if I have a NPI because I know I will have to come online and 'confess' my purchase if I go ahead.

Mingle - poor you, that all sound dreadful.

Willowbee - I am not sure what you are having a problem with but it all sound very frustrating - hope you get it sorted.

For anyone wanting to buy the Urban Decay Naked pallette, MUA have this month launched a pallette called Undressed and it is a complete copy, colour by colour exactly the same and just £4. It had sold out in my SD today but I did look at it yesterday and it looks great. I have the Heaven and Earth one and the quality is amazing for the money.

    Welcome Indiepanda

Thank you, Dolly :) It's the 'fitness for work' assessment (WCA) that many ill/disabled people are being put through. The system is a mess :(Many people are trying to get it changed but it isn't working. In May, at the annual BMA GP conference there was a unanimous vote for it to be scrapped as it is causing so much damage. What is happening to me is serious as it appears to be an illegal removal of my right to a recording (to the best of my understanding).

On a happier note - I will definitely look out for the Undressed palette next month :) I hadn't heard about it. Do you know if it is like Naked 1 or Naked 2 (I would like Naked 2 as it is better for cool-toned skin). (That is a funny sentence! :rotfl:)

Dolly - I've just Googled the Undressed palette and there are loads of helpful reviews/swatches so don't worry about my question about whether it is like Naked 1 or 2 :)

I wish that MUA named their shades as it's impossible to know what colours I already have! :( I've only ordered from them once and that was to get the Immaculate Collection palette free (this was ages ago ;)). It's quite possible that I have all of the Undressed shades already but it's tricky to know...On reflection, I am unlikely to buy the Undressed palette next month as I've just reminded myself that I have lots of lovely eyeshadows! :rotfl: (I'm still going to look at the reviews though :p)
  • Hello everyone :)

On my way home from work. I had a £15 debenhan beauty point burning a hole in my wallet so I went and bought a perfume. Lame excuse I know.
I am super happy with the purchase however and have already started using it.

Willowbee - I see now, the DH of a very dear friend has been diagnosed with ME, he started being ill early last year and had to finish work in July last year so this is something he may have to go through at some point too. I can see why these assesments are necessary but they just never seem to get it right.

A little non bought in today - Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb sample arrived in the post today, a proper little sample too, not one of those foil things.

    Hi All,

Went to Liverpool today as OH said that was what he wanted to do, we got there and it was extremely busy (as you would reasonably expect on a Saturday afternoon) and he proceeded to sulk and more or less wanted to come straight home!:mad::mad: I then found out that his friend and his GF were expecting us in Manchester, although he didn't tell me this was a firm arrangement so that was embarrassing! :o:o:o Honestly, he is super hard work sometimes!!

Rant over, thanks for listening :D I am much cheered to come on here and read about UD's u-turn on going into China - goodness me they have done their reputation an awful lot of harm with the initial decision, what were they possibly thinking?!!!! I'm happy I can now use my lovely Naked2 and glosses without feeling torn.

    Welcome newbies

Dolly - I have M.E. If your friend's DH applies for benefit he will have to go through the same system :( If you think that I can be any help, please PM me. (In some ways I might scare him as I've been ill for a very long time now :( At least he has been diagnosed relatively quickly. The most important thing, as obvious as it sounds, is that he gets proper rest each day and tries to minimise stress)

Tokkiandoliver - I'm really curious about 'Rain'. What a lovely purchase :) I have a 300ml ( I do love it, thankfully) bottle of 'Curacao' which was one of last years 'splashes'. (Sale link in white so as not to accidentally tempt anyone else: http://www.escentual.com/marc-jacobs/mjsplash2011_001/)

I'm so pleased that I don't have to boycott UD any more as well :)

Ems - I thought of you and your recently bought Naked palette. I'm glad you can enjoy it now :) It sounds like your OH was having a bit of an 'unmanageable moment'!

Hi everyone and big welcome to indiepanda. I stayed home today and can declare DAY 7 as a NO BUY, in fact a complete No Spend. On Q** the TSV is Liz Earle, but I have not weakened.:j

ValM I read that too about Smashbox, then I read somewhere else that they were not leaving UK and offering a free Primer sample in an attempt to get people to sign up to their on-line store. I like some of their eye products and have several great brushes too. When you hit the store locator button, it says no details of stores at present, but they "will be coming to the high street late summer", it has been muted on some blogs that this would be in the form of a presence in B**ts.
