Thank you for all the lovely comments, I'm feeling a lot better today though my left leg and arm are still tender and shoulder is a bit stiff. Managed to make things worse on Friday night when struggling to find a comfortable position to sleep in managed to hit myself in the face and now have sore eye (I give you all permission to laugh at that one).

    How unlucky!

I'm really pleased to hear that you are resting up well and are starting to feel better :) Your DH sounds really lovely - he looked after you so nicely :) (I meant to say this yesterday but was distracted).

I hope that you enjoy your Sunday too. Xx

Hi everyone and big welcome to indiepanda. I stayed home today and can declare DAY 7 as a NO BUY, in fact a complete No Spend. On Q** the TSV is Liz Earle, but I have not weakened.:j

    Yay! :j :j :j

    First week completed

(I have beauty box ins! Because I joined the No Spend month impulsively I didn't think of this. :o Still. No buys other than Red for the REN stuff. Also, I think that I've had 5 absolute No Spend Days but I have to double check this. :))

Willowbee - thanks for that, I am not sure if he is trying to claim anything as yet. The whole situation is just awful, they have two children 16 and 8 and he is missing out on everything just about and my friend has a full time job and is doing everything else.

Valm - it was me with the undressed pallette, I am not sure if you can use them wet, if you see one don't hesitate if you think you want it because they sell out really quickly at first.

I am having problems with my skin at the moment, particularly on my temples and cheeks, it is so blocked and I can see loads of bumps under the skin. I am putting it down to the No7 P&P serum and the matching moisturisers, I used the serum for about 10 days and noticed that my skin was congested, I stopped using it but carrried on with day and night cream and now it is really bad. I had a look online yesterday for ingredients which are the worst culprits for spots and acne and went through my whole stash so there were a few things which I passed on to my mum and DH (face washes, moisturisers mainly).

I have now gone back to my beloved Clinique Moisture Surge for night and Oilatum Natural Repair cream for day so hope to see an improvement.

Oh dear. :( It's a monstrous illness in terms of the pressure that it puts on your family. My parents are my carers. Without them I wouldn't have survived as I'm in bed most of the time. There is an excellent forum called brainfog.org. There is a section for carers and it was the most helpful thing I discovered in terms of support and knowledge. It was more helpful than the mainstream M.E. charities (Action for M.E. and The M.E. Association) though these are both worth looking up. I was referred to an M.E. specialist clinic and they were helpful in terms of prescribing sleep and pain meds. I don't know how many of these clinics are still going (funding probs even a few years ago ) but without it I wouldn't have meds. Please encourage your friends to look into these things (if they haven't already) as it's awful to deal with and it's difficult to find a Dr that understands/can help.

Back on topic - I think that P&P serum broke me out as well :( (I still have some to finish but I'm wary of trying it again). I hope that your skin heals quickly. You've done the sensible thing and returned to your trusted products so hopefully your skin will recover quickly. :)

Oh dear, epic fail for July :( just ordered the QVC TSV

In my defence it's a fab deal :o

***Takes self off to the naughty step*** Can someone make me a cuppa??

It did look like a very good deal if LE is a favourite/HG. I would enjoy it :)

    Good morning ladies -

I did not purchase anything last night hahaha NPI all night long, geez I was really bit by the shopping bug yesterday, so luckily I just made out with 1 perfume (rrp £29 but paid only £14 b/c I had points). So phew.

Today I'm home from work (YAY!) and basically spending all day listing things up on my blog sale. I'm staying away from fleabay right now as their fees are just ridiculous!

I am sooooooooo impressed! Sorry for being part of the problem! :rotfl: :T :T :T
  • ^^ hehe it's ok :) I think that was a good deal and very MSE xx

    Another UU:
No 7 top coat - I purchased this with the £5 voucher, so it was only £2, but I don't think that I will buy it again.

I forgot to say that I had an email from Urban Decay yesterday to say that they are no longer going to go into China. They've totally reversed their decision thanks to the howl of outrage. HURRAH! They are now back to being a cruelty free brand (though I have to say I no longer trust them to stick to this...)

That means, at some point, I can buy the Naked 2 palette. Ha! It also means that I will be able to replace my HG eyeliners. :rotfl:

    :j:j:j

YAY!!! :j:beer: i can keep using my eyelash serum :rotfl: i bet they noticed that profits were down in the US and UK compared to this time last year!

I think that deep change takes quite a while (using your 'best' things, not stock piling things, not buying each and every special offer and not buying things when stressed) but being here makes that change much easier and far more enjoyable.

after soldiering on with my clinique panda eyes, i realised i had a diorshow buried somewhere. i used that and that also gave me panda eyes but i'd rather have a Dior "smokey" eye than a rubbishy gwp clinique one! :rotfl:

    my illamasqua order arrived :o

    IN:
    Freak fragrance sample
    nail polish in bacterium
    powdered metal in bebhionn
    medium pencil in forced
    fine pencil in classic
    fine pencil in peace
    creme eye shadow in entangle
    liquid metal in stoic

and to balance it all out:
    OUT:
Clinique high lengths - TA, WNBA, just awful and the brush is dire.
REN vetiver hand & body creme - WBA, smells nice but i think is prob too expensive to justify.
Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser - HG but  it's finished!!!!!!
chloe eau de toilette mini - i love the Chloe fragrances but i think i prefer the eau de parfum.
lush ceridwyn's cauldron - i usually avoid lush like the plague but a friend took me in and i couldn't resist! i would list this as a HG bath bomb but i hate lush.
