My friend is coming around tomorrow evening to pick up the goodies I have put aside for her daughter (my DD got wind of this and wasn't happy that they weren't going to her but my DD is only 8 going on 18). I will be glad because I keep putting other things in and then taking them out and keep asking myself if I can part with them:eek:.
hahaha, I do this too when I'm making up packages for friends, but just do what I do and remind myself that in the end, it feels great not only because you are lowering your stash count, but it feels so awesome to give than to get IMHO:)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

Hope Scrappie sleeps wellits generally pretty shocking, especially if you start to factor in what it cost.I'm really in awe of those ladies who are trying to do a no spend. I know we are all suppose to aim for that, but just the thought of a no spend is making me all uneasy hahaha!! I guess I still have a long way to go.I keep putting other things in and then taking them out and keep asking myself if I can part with them
I need to go and sort out my 'summer sun swap' today. Have had so much going on, totally forgot I had not done this - must find a box for posting!!
Feel like I need a good clear out/ tidy up of the house - clearly I'm starting to feel a little better. So might get on with a bit of that. Maybe sort my wardrobe today, get rid of stuff that I have not worn in a while.
Really need to do my nails too, oh they look to tatty right now, and I really hate that!

Hi everyone, raining here again:mad: Not going to do too much today, spent the last 3 days gardening - 2 at home and yesterday in the pouring rain at my Mum's. Have done a little (very little) light housework, tried a nail polish that had been sitting in the untrieds, and spent a while sorting out the stash.
I haven't listed mine, several reasons:- main one is that I am too lazy to spend the time doing it, I did start, but somehow didn't feel it would benefit me to see it in paper, I guess I am more tactile than organised, perhaps because I have spent 45 years doing admin for a living, but I do keep sorting out the various drawers, boxes, bags etc. so I pretty much know what I have now. I have looked out a couple of nice samples to use up and now going to tidy bathroom shelves. So many things in there are going to be long haul though.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
emsjune - I have NEVER concidered the cost:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Clearly they were all 'free' and just appeared in my bedroom/bathroom. Oh my word........if I started to add it all up:o
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
yep all "free" haha
Does anyone re-paint their nails everyday?
I've been slacking and doing it every other day, but my DH thinks I'm a weirdo for doing my nails so oftenNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

I think I have taken about 8-9 months building towards this NO SPEND month. During this time I have been trying to prioritise the goodies, by age, what has been open a while etc. I am a bit fickle and always have to have a couple of toothpastes, shampoos, etc, etc to alternate between, that results in a lot of "in uses", I am sure you all get the picture:rotfl:
Whilst money (I am fortunate) is not an issue, I do hate waste in any form, and it has gradually dawned on me that I just do not need any more things, I am developing my HG lists as I go along.
But the BIG thing is, I am (hopefully it will continue) realising that I do not need more things to make me happy, that little thrill when you get something new does not last long for me, and in fact the clutter gets me down, especially when I am in pain.
I am a natural accumulator, food, cleaning materials, craft items, books, you name it, and the enforced clear out caused by relocating 150 miles has helped me get my head round it all.
Now I buy regular in use items as :money:as possible, but am not taken in so much by offers etc, in these depressed times they keep coming round again, and again:rotfl:
BTW, no judgement being made here, just how things are working out for me:D
This is the best forum ever, thanks and hugs to everyone.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I used to work in a job where I couldn't paint my nails! Now I am free to do as I please, I'm lucky if I do it once a month!
I replaced my DKNY Be Delicious yesterday. Had a sniff round some other perfumes and couldn't find one that I liked as much.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
