I've had this problem with a couple of different mascaras lately, I think the weather is partly to blame!!

The Dainty Doll one I won on the Glamour giveaway did this, so I moved onto the Benefit Bad Gal Lash mini that came with last month's Glamour and its doing the same. :(

I like Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal which doesn't seem to do this but has a nice big brush like the Benefit one, I also really like No. 7 Exceptional Definition mascara which doesn't seem to bleed either. This is the first of their mascaras that I've rated, found others in the past 'flaky' but had this as a GWP in one of those little sets they do and was very impressed.

I think you might be onto something with the weather, my Clinique High Impact mascara has started to smudge and it didn't use to!

I used a Benefit Bad Gal mascara last year and it gave me horrendous panda eyes, it's the only mascara thats ever done that so I wouldn't be buying that one.

There was a thread last year about mascara and someone's top tip was to put powder under your eyes to absorb the oils from moisturiser and eye cream. I would worry about it showing up the lines though!

    Fair point! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm feeling quite fired up about the challenge this month! I'm going to target splutterers again as I need to get to 100 OUTS (since I began, not just this month ) so I can finally use my Elie Saab perfume that is sitting, taunting me... :rotfl:

Night night! (Prob only me awake...) Hope Scrappie sleeps well :A

Blue Elephant and Catarina- I found it quite liberating to go through the stash. I found it better to know what I was up against, if you know what I mean? Plus it's quite a good way of organising and pacing yourself- you may find that you have 50 shower gels that have gone off or you're allergic to so you can pass them on or throw them out or repurpose them- so that would be 50 outs! You also may come across samples which are quicker and easier to use.

Not pressuring or anything- I don't post mine on here that often or really update it much, but it does help. :)

Without making my stash list at the beginning Id have definitely been purchasing products I didn't need as I just did not know what I had! I agree though it is a daunting thought but I think when its all down in black and white (or whatever colour you like :rotfl:) its generally pretty shocking, especially if you start to factor in what it cost.

Good luck to Maddiemay and Willowbee with their no spend month :T

More outs for me - 2 x Plax mouthwash samples I've given to a friend and UU Original source lavender and tea tree bath foam. I'm targetting the splutterers first to get some quick wins in slimming down my stash. I really don't want to buy any toiletries at all for the rest of the month. As well as toiletries I've been hoarding household cleaning products - I've decided not to buy any more of those for the rest of the month too. Bring it on!

I have a uu today, the remainder of my Champneys Exotic Body Mist was finished this morning, wba as it is really lovely and the fragrance lasts a long time.

I am moving on to a part used bottle of M&S Per Una perfume and matching body spray, the perfume is half full but is only 30ml I think so won't be around too long. I do really like it so will enjoy using it up.

My friend is coming around tomorrow evening to pick up the goodies I have put aside for her daughter (my DD got wind of this and wasn't happy that they weren't going to her but my DD is only 8 going on 18). I will be glad because I keep putting other things in and then taking them out and keep asking myself if I can part with them:eek:.

SSB arrived but not sure what to count as ins at only 1 item I liked in the box and that was not exactly toiletries!DH thought the sample sizes were a rip off btw!had to explain I bought a £9.95 box at a cost of £16.20 for 3 through a groupon type thing plus cashback plus postage(got rather complicated!) so altho the contents only worth? about £15 I had not lost out too much
shame most of the items will be given away:rotfl:(esp the ACNE CREAM:eek::eek:)
  • Good morning everyone!!

I'm really in awe of those ladies who are trying to do a no spend. I know we are all suppose to aim for that, but just the thought of a no spend is making me all uneasy hahaha!! I guess I still have a long way to go.

A lovely lovely lovely online friend sent me a package today. I'm over here smiling :)

Doing some work from today and having a major clean up - sort out.
what is on everyone else's agenda for the day?

I do have some more UU's to report:

Dior capture totale eye cream - I am sad that this is gone. I have been making an effort to wear eye cream these days as a preventive measure. At this price, I don't think I wba, but it was lovely while it lasted :)

I agree with this. I went through my list and added up what I had spent on the items and it came to over £1,000.00 and that was on just the items I'd made a note of what I spent on them . I currently have over 400 items, which most of them were accumulated during my Avon rep days, so am trying really hard not to add to it at the moment. Fortunately my outs defintely far exceed my ins :T
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

I used to love Clinique mascara, but I have thrown several gwp's away, I think it has been made worse by the extended hayfever season this year March to present for me! I bought a No 7 waterproof one, and it works well. Some time back, the owner of the beauty salon I used told me I should allow much more time between using moisturiser and applying mascara, it did help, but I am not very organised these days:rotfl:

My hayfever has been so awful too! I haven't worn mascara in over 3 months because of it
