    • persuaded the cats to go burn some energy off outside before i strangle them. :D They can smell chicken in the fridge and won't get out from under my feet cos they think i will feed them it. Will they never learn.
jacket tatties in oven to go with reheated chilli ;)

kitchen a bit of a mess cos there is a fair old bit of washing up to do

had a mega tidy up putting things away upstairs, so it looks less cluttered for now and i should be able to get things almost sorted in a couple of hour clean up. I was thinking to myself why do we not do this for ourselves rather than just when guests come.

I thinki will do a wash up now while waiting for DH to get in and while there is nowt on the telly. Then there will be one less place to do in the morning. I will be having a rum and coke, and sod the diet this evening.

    Michelle, x

The kitchen smells fab. there is a butternut squash and carrot soup in the SC for lunch tomorrow when the in-laws arrive, the fridge is well stocked with booze and food, and we will have a good weekend. ;)

I will do a check in of where i am up to tomorrow before they arrive, but then may abandon you for the weekend. Thank you for all of you complimenting me on my efforts today. I often don't see where i have been, but this is the best i have felt about the house in a good while. :D Thankfully we all motivate each other.

    Night night.

I could be one of the workaholic ones today. I can't remember the names, but the tiny little construction workers who built the scaffolding and stuff.

Hope i've remembered the right programme or i'll look like a right daft tart.

    ;)
  • I am lazy git :-). Had a day off and dont know where it has gone. Had to take DS to docs today as he has been getting dizzy on wakening. Wasn't overly concerned and thought it was probably because he has had a huge growth spurt recently but doc wants him to go to hospital for a check. Bloody concerned now. Went for weekly shop. Emptied DW and refilled. Did 2 loads of wash. Went to coffee afternoon in DS's school. Collected kids from 2 separate schools and took DD to dancing. Tidied lounge whilst DD at dancing and sat on phone for 30 mins. Bought a takeaway for tean and have sat on my bum since 8pm. Never mind I will fly tomorrow............perhaps xx

Millionaire In Training does sound worrying, hope he's ok. Also going by that list you've done far from nothing. Don't be so harsh on yourself.

I've not read the rest of the thread but do you mean the Doozers from Fraggle Rock? The ones that made the Doozers stick to build with that the Fraggles kept eating?

Or have I completely lost the thread and my sanity....

    Right.

Definately not a good today. Besides being in a Godzilla mood and having a pop at my boss, MIL and I went out to buy fish and chips for dinner at 8 and returned at 10 as we dropped off her friends birthday pressie. DS had to eat as he was due his insulin and hadn't had enough during the day for him to sleep on overnight. So that took a tearful 1 hr to eat his dinner as the poor love was sparko before dinner finally arrived.

We still don't have a sink in the bathroom, and I've only managed to sweep the floor downstairs since the dinner escapade and take a box upstairs to hide in the small room.

It's DS's 4th Birthday party round ours tomorrow and I have no food precooked and the house is still a tip. MIL, my Mum and Sis have said they'll help tomorrow but I'm stressed out and have gone into stupid mode where I feel horrible about other people having to come a 'rescue me' from my own junk (although I do also appreciate the offers)

So, I'm on here to try and collect my thoughts for tomorrow.

Righto, when I get up the oven goes on to cook:

    Cocktail Sausages
    Scampi
    Chicken Goujons
    Square Pizzas
    Also....
Sandwiches to be made when I finally get hold of some bread (was told no to geting it tonight as we were already really late
    Crudettes to be prepared
    Potatoe Salad to make

I have to go to bed now. I'm going to regret not getting on with more tonight when I wake up tomorrow, but I'll regret going to bed later tomorrow. Can't win this battle in my head. Ho hum

. Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders.
    1. Clean floor
    Tuesday - Living areas & Hall/Porches/Entrance
    2. Dust throughout living area and hall/s inc tops of door frames and doors
    3. Wipe down skirting
    4. Vacuum throughout halls
    5. Clean clocks and screens.
    6. Make sure the front door is clean, inside and out

Wednesday - Master bedroom, stairs and landing
    7. Check for cobwebs and dust all furniture
    8. [STRIKE]Remove bed linen and wash[/STRIKE]
    9. Vacuum bedroom floor, stairs, landing and bed
    10. Turn mattress before replacing linen if required
    11. Clean landing and bedroom window

Thursday Double Trouble - Study/Pc areas and bathroom
    Study
    12. Clean PCs, mouse, monitor, keyboard etc
    13. Make sure desk is tidy and dust free
    14. Clean window
    Bathroom
    15. Clean bath, sink
    16. Dust bathroom cabinets/shelves
    17. Wipe down tiles, make them shine!
    18. Vacuum bathroom floor
    19. Clean bathroom window

Friday Flyer (well it is for those without kids or spare rooms)
    20. Vacuum the floor
    21. Wipe down skirting/light switches/light fitting/door if required and dust anything that needs to be
    Dining room
    22. Dust where necessary
    23. Wipe chairs if required and dust the backs
    24. Vacuum dining room floor
Well that's it for the weekend, apart from dailies of course.

Do some of the dreaded ironing
    Deal with post
Find new cheque book in filing cabinet and put in downstairs drawer
take dry stuff off airers and fold/put away or add to ironing pile
    Put compost outside
    DH suit fitting at 10am
Make soup for lunch (put through food processor)
    Roast chicken, then carve
Make a chicken and veg lasagne for dinner,
    And rice pudding in SC
Get pork out of freezer to defrost
DH to put box of baby clothes in loft

    Make baby bottles
Box of baby clothes in loft
    Write letter of application
    Get it checked
    Order sister things off ebay

Paper and tin recycling has gone outside already. Bag of nappies has gone in outside bin. Bedroom windows are open to get some of that fresh air circulating. We are all up. I am fueled, just need to finish the cuppa. My bedside table has had most of the junk cleared. I feel really scruffy this morning. The face mask yesterday has made my skin all greasy, and i could do with washing my hair, so best get on with it if i want to get through.

Shortie accept all offers of help. You will get there and have a fabby time at the party.
