    i learnt something new as well reading this thread did not know about turning mattress when changing beds. Why do you do this - something to do with the springs?

    Hi, yes it's to keep the springs even, it's advised as it stops the mattress becoming lumpy and therefore means it lasts longer. :)

    Well, after removing 6 bin liners full of [STRIKE]utter rubbish[/STRIKE] essential stuff the sprogs can't do without, my living room looks spiffy too.

    After a very hard few weeks I now have a viewer-ready living room, kitchen, dining room, master bedroom, kids rooms and bathroom. Well done me! Just need to do the office and the spare room:eek: :eek: :eek: Some plants int he tubs in the garden to give it a bit of colour would be nice if I can manage it today.

    Only got one crawly out of DD's hair yesterday, so I caught them really early, but there will be loads in the next few days juding by the number of eggs. I'm getting a nitty gritty as advised Pigpen, thanks for the tip. Is is generally advisable to keep littlies away from other kids until the eggs have gone?

    Have a great day and happy flying everyone!

    Brain's kicked into gear now so here's my list for today, I've decided not to add stuff I wont get round to cause then it makes me feel guilty and I like to see everything crossed off, I need to post achievable lists, so:-

    * kids room
    * WM :-
    1 on the line
    1 in the TD
    1 in the washer
    1 left to do
    * rubbish in bin outside
    * Plug Sky box back in
    * phone Sky - try to blag a cheaper package than £21
    * Do dishes
    * hoover through
    * clean benches in kitchen
    * fold/put away all dry washing
    * Go to Aldi to return a camera
    * Go to Asda to look at new cameras
    * make beds

    That'll do for today, oops better get DD#2 up and ready for school :o

    Morning all.Firdayits.gif

    Not been around as I haven't been flying as such :o After spending all day Tuesday at my friends house preping her daughters party (and having a REALLY good chin wag :rotfl: ) and then her daughters party that night, I was whacked Wednesday so much so I don't even remember it :confused::rolleyes: Yesterday I spent the entire day listing things for ebay...then forgot to upload them :wall: Mind you I still need to take pictures so it's a good job I have taken into account the price increase by Royal Mail (effective 2nd April...10 days from now) when putting postage costs!

    Anyways my plan for today is to cook the last 2 batches of dried pulses I've been soaking, and clean the house through. :eek: Shouldn't take long. I'm just about to put the first load of washing through the machine as soon as I've S&S'd the bathroom & kitchen. Shouldn't take long :D Apart from the livingroom, it's just a case of dust/hoover as everywhere else is tidy. Livingroom mess is confined to the desk area so that shouldn't take too long. Also hoping to fit in a bath before I have to go and pick DD up at 3pm (thats when I leave the house...ish) so it's time to don my cape and get a wriggle on.

    Lets make a proper list :

    Busy at work since Tuesday so now I need to play catch up. Overnight visitors at the weekend, and their room needs a second coat of paint, rails and curtains putting back up and the carpet washing.
    House is a mess - joy of a few days of neglect. The boys are only home for an hour before they go to bed on work days so how do they generate so much mess? The house is one huge hot spot.

    Butchers, and co-op run, DW to do, WM x lots, good general clean and the garden is calling me..... Need to make a cheesecake and a roulade for tomorrow as well.

    You have just made me feel a million times better. All i have to do is hide lots of clothes, hoover, dust and change bedding for our guests. I don't know why i thought it would be easier to have the in-laws to stay rather than go and visit them again.

    Oh - i remember now. It was cos we have already spent 3 other weekends away this month and thought it may give us chance to do something at home and save us the cost of a tank of petrol and 3 days cattery fees which they charge us now we have to drop them off in the evening, even though they are still only there 48 hours. Oh the joys!!!

    Now i am really off - baby has screamed at me so much i decided he must be in pain, so gave him some neurofen, and now he is sleeping.

    Washer is now on with towels. - so best get going.

    Stripped my bed and washed it, and another load of washing. The sun has just come out so I'll put some out on the line in a minute.

    Vacuumed and polished bedrooms. Also living room and hallway.

    Made a load of Easter biscuits and vacuumed the kitchen after (I always drop stuff everywhere). They are cooling on the rack now.

    The dog is having her hair cut (a van comes round), when that's finished I need to go to the post office.
