Would You Go On the Jeremy Kyle Show?

My half-sister has been on JK twice. Not airing dirty linen in public per se, but I don't necessarily see that as a positive. The only thing shows like that tell us is that there are some people in this world who can and will do anything. And those people are by turn not of interest to anyone with half a brain or a modicum of self-respect0

Another No.
A very big NO.
And just to make it completely clear, I mean no.0 -
A few years ago a journalist went behind the scenes and wrote a report on it and it makes depressing reading. She claimed they do everything they can to influence the audience before the show and are not taking account of mental health problems. I just think the whole thing is so unethical and I can't believe they use lie detector tests which are regarded as being fairly dodgy.

I would not go on it. I don't see the point. Why would you want to talk about your problems on TV. Sort them out with the person or walk away. I don't understand how going on TV would help. And I wonder whether it would damage your career. You wouldn't want to be recognised in a job interview.0 -
Going on jeremy kyle is no different than users of this site coming on here already anonymous and airing there dirty laundry. Only difference being the show is not anonymous.
I've never seen a thread on here where a woman claims not to know who the father of her baby is? That's all l ever seem to have seen on there!

In fairness, he has brought another bit of rhyming slang into the language - I was bored with "farmers" and "plymouths""If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

Sadly as l know who the father of my children are rather than not being sure between two, l am not a benefits cheat, I'm not having an affair with DHs best friend and hopefully my mum won't shack up with my dad's brother, l think l will have to pass.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

Dear God, no, I'd never stand for anybody talking to me the way he talks to some of those people
It really annoys me when he squares up to the thugs knowing he has a couple of bouncers by his side, I bet he'd run as fast as his little legs could carry him if he met them in a dark alley somewhere!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
I think JK is the most vile programme. The people who go on their just want their moment of fame. Who in their right mind airs their grievances so publicly, if they really wish to reconcile or sort out a problem?
As for Jeremy himself, I think he is an obnoxious little man. Sometimes he tries to placate a situation. At other times he seems to light the blue touch paper and stand back and happily watch it blow. He wants to follow this advice 'better to stay silent when those around consider you a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt'.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

My teenager is on study leave and we've watched it together a few times. He thinks it's hilarious and should be used as a tool in schools to show teens how drugs, drink and unprotected sex is a bad idea.
I hate the way he goads people, especially when he refers to young men as "That" to try go get a violent reaction from them. He doesn't seem to take mental health into account at all and I felt very uncomfortable when he ripped into a girl with postnatal depression.
Would I go on? No way, but they could read out a prepared statement if I wanted to have my say on something, I suppose. I can't imagine any circumstances where anyone I know would go on the show, and even if they did I expect we'd be able to sort out our differences between us without JK's assistance.
One thing I do like is the way he asks mothers to allow a trial of supervised access for the fathers.52% tight0
