would there be a way to connect to the tv?

Don't think so at the moment.

you'll probably need the "Nexus Q" for that.... ^_^

Guess HDMI, real camera, memory card slot will be in the next version.
  • I fail to see how because Google are selling these at cost price.

They are actually selling it at below cost price!

A great many other firms are VERY upset at this especially as google has just gone head to head with its former allies.

Though it will probably get even cheaper!

It is not the hardware that makes money it is the stuff they can sell through with it.

For some years Microsoft was losing money on every x-box!

It's a shame there is no 10" version for say £50 extra, I would definately be interested.

On the verge of getting a 10" tablet, but wondering if the release of this, will start to send prices tumbling.

I know with technology, prices gradually drop, but this release, could well see tablets that are priced £400, sharply drop in price to £300 or lower in a few months, a bit like the huge drops we have seen in SSD prices recently.

10-inch version coming, apparently. But 7 will do me :-)

Don't think they will release a 10" version.

Apple have been "litigation happy" when it comes to 10" rectangular Touch-screen tablets.

So I think Google will stick to the 7" and take on Amazon directly and hope the sheer volume of cheaper, smaller tablets impact on apple's sales of the iPads without direct competition...

From what has been posted, the free £15 credit is only order from google direct. As for no micro sd card or hdmi, it seems they were not added for 2 reason, google cloud & nexus Q plus it helps keep the cost down.

Does anyone know of a reason why it wouldn't be possible to store data through the micro-USB connection?

    It might have this already!

Some Honeycomb phone/tablets had this ability (you just needed an adapter) and you can add it to other Rooted Honeycomb or greater OS's but needs some hacking to add the function into the kernel of the OS.

From some of the reviews, it seem the micro USB will support keyboard and mouse, but not storage devices (at least out of the box). No doubt someone will find a way to bypass it.
