agreed, thinkpads are imortal, i have no probs swaping out laptop motherboards etc and have even worked for an hp refurber and frankly wouldnt touch one with ever.

Agreed with IBM. I got my IBM thinkpad R40 for 4 years, haven't had any problem at all. No any service required. I use mine more than 700 hours per week. Would recommend IBM to anyone.
Another brand which I like is Fujitsu. Not popular in UK. But really do in Japan.
I would give 8 to 10 for Toshiba. Just bought another one for my son recently. But I would recommend to check all spec carefully before buying. Mine was so slow as low ram. Didn't blame for the price I got it.0 -
