Errrrm....I guess someone had hold of the plant (a potted plant, not a 'pot' plant if you see what I mean lol) at the time.... :rotfl:
We came downstairs (on New Years Day last year), and found the window smashed and the bonnet covered in dents and scratches, with soil and mangled roots everywhere, and half a lavendula on the passenger seat.
Sorry but that really made me laugh out loud just invisioning it! :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

There is too much damage to get it fixed ourselves. Neils cousin owns a garage locally and does all our work for us anyway, but he advised us to do it as a claim as there was no way he could do it cost effectively.
Mind you, the police told us that at least three cars had been damaged in attempted thefts within 20 minutes of ours, so we are safe in the knowledge that the theif was a rubbish one as he didn't actually make off with any car.0 -
I want to cry.
(But I won't cos I am a big girl!)
Some other nasty b@stwd has scratched the car. Big curvy M's all over the drivers door and rear passengers door. Outside MIL house this time.
ARGHHHH
Why??? Why me?? Mind you, I seem to have one of those life stories that Eastenders wouldn't buy for a story line cos its so unbelievable, so yes - I know why its me!
At least they are not deep scratches, so some coloured polish from Halfords should hide them. But I am so angry. Are some peoples lives really that pathetic that scrathing/stealing cars is normal to them?? (Don't answer that!)
So we are going to replace the fence around the side of the house with a large six foot fencing and gates, remove the fence around the back garden - it will make the back garden twice the size (its tiny at present!) and will keep the cars out of sight and hopefully out of mind then of the scum.
But it will have to come out of our emergency fund though. We have a savings account with just under £1000 in. This is for emergencies and just in case OH ever lost his job - it will cover 2 months of basic bills etc, having been stung by that surprise before! But as the saying goes - "Money in the Bank is like toothpaste in the tube - easy to get out, difficult to put back".
Usually I go through life with the C'est La Vie attitiude. I can shrug off most things - being too logical I suppose. I rant for a short while, and can put things behind me and deal with it. Today I am smilling through gritted teeth though.0 -

Oi! It was you! You jinxed me!!!!
Come on - own up!!! :rotfl:0 -
Big letter M's? Could you scratch 'oney Saver' after each one?
Sorry, I shouldn't laugh (although you all laughed at my car getting beaten up by a pot plant) - it's really annoying when someone causes damage just for the sake of it. Someone did it to hubby's car (his last one, not the one he has now), big X's all down the side. Hope you manage to polish them out a bit.

Thanks for making light of it!
I can just see MSE all over it! OH might not be all that impressed though.
It is only a car afterall. But ......................................0 -
It is only a car, but it's YOUR car, and it's still horrible when people do something like that, because it's so senseless. Poor you, I'm not really making light of it, if it was me, I'd be really annoyed."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

OOOH!! Maybe you COULD scratch MSE all over it, and approach Martin for an advertising fee - then it really would be moneysaving!! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
