Isn't that what joint bank accounts are for? You know, the ones where both have access to the money, but both have a separate card with separate PINs... and if I am not mistaken, both names show on both cards for joint accounts? If you trust someone enough to give them your PIN, then you trust someone enough to get a joint bank account. Not only is it a simple way to "share" money, its a service provided by all banks and involves no breaches of T&C'sSantander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0 -
Both names don't show on cards on joint accounts, just one name. Both names will show on a cheque book.0

Its usually in the card T&C that the card belongs to the bank and can be collected by the bank or a person acting as an agent of the bank.
When i used to work in a DIY that did it all (no names), we were trained to always read the name on the card and verify it against the person, eg a Mr or Miss (sometimes it was hard to tell!!) ;
Another funny thing was if the name was out of character with the person, eg a punk handed the card over with the name on the card "The Reverend John Smith" we would have to pretend the card machine was faulty so we could phone up and authorise it!
Appologies to punks (or members of the Clergy) if I ever slowed you down at my till!!0
