Personally I think the car manufacturer should shoulder some blame. Can't believe they manufacture cars in this day and age that dont come with life rafts and/or buoyancy aids!0

It's their car that's knackered not yours. How bad is this 'whiplash'? Are you losing money from lost earnings? If not, what exactly is the compensation for? Is it because it was a scary experience?
its a mobility car, the driver doesnt pay insurance so it is of no consequence to either party0 -

Just to the tax payer then.0 -
I don't quite understand myself how someone can get 'whiplash' from a car stalling and stopping. Are peoples necks that weak that they can't cope with a car slowing down?
Yep, that bit did sound rather odd.
I was off work for about 3 months following a car accident on the M4 in 2009, so i'm pretty well versed on what constitutes whiplash or not.
OP - I suggest you take a look at:

But how is that any different to me doing 70mph, slamming my brakes on because someone stops in front of me. I don't walk away with soft tissue injuries? =/
If your injured though then as said, contact your GP, speak to a solicitor and leave it in their hands. That will be the only advice people can offer on here I'm afraid.

It stalled in the middle of the ford not at the edge0 -
Ungrateful passenger in the motability vehicle of an incompetent driver, was never going to end well was it?
At least the chiel-der-enn were OK, but only to a point as they carry both your genes... oh dear0 -
