22 May - Managed to post my IPA form at the weekend - I couldn't believe that the post-box is less than a hundred yards away, yet I really struggled to walk at a normal pace to get there & back. My staples (all 57 ) are out now (had them out Friday), so it's certainly more comfortable to move about, but I'm still on painkillers though I've managed to reduce the quantity. I've been on a liquid diet for 3 weeks, but as of today I can start having pureed foods :j for two weeks. I'm so glad - I'm totally over Actimels, soup, Muller Lights & fruit juice.
Also got the result of my appointment at the breast clinic last week. They did the mammogram & gave me the result the same afternoon (including showing me the scans) - it's a fibro adenoma, very rounded edges, no fibres coming off it, so they've told me not to worry about it as it's not cancer! :j:j:j:j They said but for my recent CT scan it would have probably sat there unnoticed until I was of the age to start having regular mammograms, so it's nothing to worry about. I'm so relieved. :jBSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Hi wdiag,
That's fantastic news, it must be a huge weight off your mind and one that I couldn't even begin to appreciate. I hope it's the start of your life starting to take a more enjoyable and rewarding route; you certainly deserve it.

Thanks, guys - a friend came with me for the scan, & I couldn't keep the relief off my face when I got the result.
The bonus of a liquid but very boring diet is that I've lost loads of weight, so when I'm well enough I'm going to be at Matalan or Primark's doors for some new summer clothes. I'll use the money I haven't spent on fares etc while I've been off work - it's essential spending, because many of my existing clothes don't fit me now & I don't think my boss will want me back at work naked. A skirt slid from my waist to the floor in nanoseconds at the weekend. Luckily, I was at home at the time.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
