  • 30 April - Well, if there was a happy bunny smilie, it would be bouncing all over this post. :)

Got another call from the OR this morning, to confirm an address. Then he told me a letter went out to me on Friday with details of my IPA (it must have gone out pretty soon after my conversation with the other OR that day) - the letter hasn't arrived yet, so I asked how much the IPA was for, expecting the £100. He told me it's £50pm for 36 months! £50pm - that's the lowest they could have set for any IPA & I really didn't expect to get such a low figure, so I'm incredibly happy & relieved. I was really hoping the decision would be made before I went into hospital, so at least I won't have that on my mind while I'm there now. :)

It's so right what people say, about sleeping better once the worst of the BR is over. You don't realise just how much your sleep/health has been affected by money problems until it no longer is. Now I can get my budget properly in order, making sure that the OR is at the top of the list of course, & really think about my future. :)

Isn't it just? :D I was dancing around my lounge like a woman possessed after the call, & I can't stop smiling. If anyone could see me now, they'd think I'd won the lottery, which I suppose I have in a way. :)

Oh, I didn't realise you'd got the letter though I knew you were concerned about it. Congratulations to you too. :)

I feel like I'm floating on air. After I went to the OR's office on my court date, I remember feeling glad the day was over with, but I said then that I wouldn't feel totally at peace until I knew where I stood with the OR. Now I feel 100 times better than I did then, as if I'm really debt free now - if I don't sit still soon, I'm going to do myself an injury. :rotfl:

  • I've been following your thread and I'm so pleased that you've got this result! Well done - you're really on your way up now!
I was BR 3 yrs ago and wish I'd had a site like this to support me through it. I've been reading AlanD and tigerfeet's stories too - they ring so true to me.
Good luck to everyone, 2 yrs after discharge - life just gets easier (well the money side anyway!!)

30 April (night) - I've calmed down a lot since this morning. I'm still incredibly relieved, but now I've got that mellowed-out feeling that you get after letting a particuarlarly good piece of chocolate slowly melt in your mouth with your eyes shut. :)
