Funny how everyone has a DVD not returned at the end of their subscription with Lovefilm. They said the same about me, and I most certainly did return it! And I know of a good few others too!

We're doing the same thing and overpaying our HA rent. We are now over £100 in credit and we're going to use it towards our BR fees when we eventually get the rest of the money together.

Good for you! I'd rather overpay it while I can (just about) afford to do so, then it gives me a bit of a safety net for when I go on holiday. If I could get myself 6-8 weeks ahead by the time I go away, that would be wonderful, as I wouldn't have to think about rent or Council Tax until the next payday. :)

Wow, ive just come across your diary for the first time, and I am amazed. You have done so well to stay so focussed and write this, whilst going through the hell of BR and all your other problems, well done you.

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

1 June - Not in the best of moods today. Have been feeling pretty unwell for the last couple of days, & saw a doctor this morning. I'm going to see my doctor again on Monday morning, but it seems I may have to go back into hospital. I'm in more pain than I should be, so they may need to do an exploratory op to see what's causing it. :( I've been told to go back on liquids until I see him, but I've got hardly any energy & seem to fall asleep as soon as I sit in the couch, then fight to fall asleep when I go to bed.

Got yet another letter from Lovefilm's DCA today, saying I owe them money. Rang & gave them my BR details - told them that it's the second time I've given them, so if they write to me again I'll be reporting them. Haven't a clue who to yet, but I'll find that out if I need to do it nearer the time. :)

2 June - I think I've upset Lovefilm. Got a call a few minutes ago from them, wanting to confirm the BR details I gave them yesterday. The man said "Right, I'll amend your details to show you as a bankrupt". I said, "Yep - go right ahead". He said "You realise what that means, don't you?", so I told him all about my credit rating being worth buttons for the next 6 years, not being allowed a credit card etc. He asked "Doesn't that bother you?" I replied, "Look" & then started singing "I am what I am, I am my own special creation". As I can sing, I was almost at full show-stopping volume by halfway through the chorus, but he put the phone down. Some people have no sense of humour. :rotfl::rotfl:

I think they're particularly miffed when they either don't get their own way or you're clearly not intimidated by them. My response took the wind right out of his sails, & he didn't know what to do. :D
