  • I take myself to McDonalds every now and then, WIFI is very good. I will get a decent M&S Takeaway which I believe is better than standard Chinese as a treat.

  • We used to have takeaways about four times a week (pre-LBM)! No wonder I got so much in debt!

Now we have them about 3-4 times a month and only go for the "special offer" deals. Really need to cut this down still but naughty food is the only treat we have really.

If we eat out, we tend to use vouchers or special offers :)

  • I am avoiding the Cinema like the plague unless it is an National Theatre Production. My gameplan is eat beforehand and sneak in snacks unless they search bags to increase profits?

  • Surely it's best to be able to cook your own Chinese and it tastes a thousand times better than brought in which IMHO tends to be bland?

When I was single, I'd go out for a meal once every month and get a takeaway every fortnight. Now that I'm married with a huge mortgage and debts, we don't go out at all or get takeaways.

My husband went on a work meal at Christmas which he contributed towards. But the last time I went out for a meal was on our honeymoon 3 years ago.

We got a kebab about 2 years ago, when we moved house and we didn't have a cooker/microwave etc.

We tend to only eat meals prepared using yellow sticker stuff. You get used to never going out. However, reading this thread has made me crave a takeaway!

Used to have a take away or go out about once a month. The last time I had take away must have been about 2 years ago now.. Just can't justifiy the cost, as it's cheaper making my own food.. And haven't been out in just as long (paid for by myself anyway)

When I went to visit my sister last September we went out for a few meals and had an Indian takeaway once.I never have takeaways otherwise.
  • we just got back from holiday and ate out loads - although as it was thailand it was very cheap!

I think we eat out roughly once a month and takeaways less often. Although if I'm under a lot of stress these increase...

We've had a takeaway about 3 times in the last year. They just don't do it for us!! Subway doesn't count ;) We eat out maybe once a month/6 weeks.

BUT we're out at least once over the weekend, sometimes twice (or more!) for a cappuccino, and occasionally accompanied by a scone (raspberry and white chocolate for him and apple and cinnamon for me - who could resist?!?!?)

Packed lunch every day and proper cooked dinner every night, majority of which is bought from the reduced section in Tesco's or Asda, so we enjoy our treats without feeling so bad! :)
