    I am a lurker who has been trying to use this thread for a few months, and I really appreciate the organisation and motivation it provides. I will try to get involved and post but there are times when my work is just too busy to be able to tackle the lists, so I am not a regular follower but I do try!

    Hello - another lurker here who will hopefully join the "10". To cut a long story short I began following the thread a few months ago with the intention of joining you by posting. Unfortunately my health took a very bad turn and I am currently unable to do much around the house and thought I'd be a bit of a fraud joining in. I'm still not well but if you are willing to accept my minimal "flying " I'd like to try and join in! The thread is a fantastic inspiration and I do admire the lovely sense of community and friendship you all seem to have.Hazy

    Hi. This is my first post (not sure if I'm doing it right), but if this arrives I want to be a flylady!

    I have been one of those 'lurkers' and have been following for a few months now and my home has improved!

    Hi to everybody and I hope to join you - you are all so supportive of each other. Steph

    :j:j :T:T :beer::beer:

    That's 5 already!! Welcome all, whether you can fly for 5 minutes or 5 hours a day. Also, support is a big part of being a flylady and everyone has something to contribute - even if you might not think so!

    Well I've decluttered a glass of pear juice and a rather large slice of sponge cake :drool: alongside chat with a close friend. Also met 3 people I haven't seen in years, all by chance and we had a quick catch up. Unexpected but very welcome.

    ((((Hugs)))) LameWolf and anyone else who needs/wants some.

    One load of washing on the line, another in WM. Minor tidying done. Picked up a few essentials from the shop. Just going to make spicy sausage pasta for DS then going to catch up with Wimbledon.

    Lurkers and newbies thank you so much for putting fingers to keys! I was thinking we were a dying breed. Please post regardless of what you have done. Remember some of us are good at writing lists for others, it doesn't mean we actually do them!

    I've been masking taping and pruning this afternoon.

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    This reminds me of a time when my (now ex) DH was being particularly lazy about decorating which really needed doing; he always seemed to be parked on the sofa 'making plans' . Anyway he asked if I could pick up whilst out shopping a book he needed for work - "DOS for beginners" He wasn't amused when I said I thought he had it sussed perfectly already :cool:

    Many thanks for the warm welcomes. Although I've just settled down to watch Wimbledon (come on Tim!) this morning I:- S&S both the bathroom and kitchen, sorted out a wardrobe, dusted lounge & bedrooms and cleaned both the conservatory and kitchen floors (and shined that kitchen sink!).

    My favourite thing is HHC (I call it a 'mad half hour') and my fella laughs at it, but does join in, when prompted.

    Can we recruit 10 new flyladies over the weekend to start the new week on Monday?

    I would like to join thisgroup as I need to get my home order. I've been lurking on this thread and am impressed by the encouragement given to people. As I live on my own this group will keep me on track with my housework, which I've been putting off doing as there is such a lot to do.

    Okay - I'll admit that I've been lurking for ages (possibly a few years). I do read most days but don't always actually "fly" IYKWIM. AMazingly it's always easier to read about what I should be doing rather than actually doing it. Oh the shame!!!

    Anyway, now I've put it in writing. I have visitors in three weeks (with small children who always manage to pull out something covered in dust) so I have to motivate myself into actually doing something about it (the dust mainly).

    I look forward to having a clean(ish) house and being more relaxed about having visiting children shaming me!

    There, I've said it. Now I must do it!!

    Oh yaay for all lurkers unlurkening

    Haha

    Good to "see" you all. Welcome!

    I doing naff all today, except unpacking from our overnighter and running swimmies through quickwash. DS has a fever and doesnt want anyone to touch him. I've given him both meds but he's still hot and bothered. He says his teeth hurt, but I've had a look and can't see anything, and he's had the back ones for ages now.

    Anyway. Going to put DD to bed as she's annoying us, lol

    Eta jaybee, Hoover with soft brush attachment gets rid of dust rather than just pushing it around with a cloth x

    Well the laundry isn't as muddy as I expected, it just STINKS but I'm not surprised after spending the past 6 days in the rucksack wet _pale_

    Now I'm looking into wheelchair hire for DD. We have one from the hospital but its poo to put it politely :p Hospital policy is that she shouldn't have one as she's on crutches and they kicked up a bit of a stink on Friday, but I want her to have one for the duration so we can still get out the house and maybe take her into school for a few things as she leave in 3 weeks! I don't care about the cost I'll find the money but I need to read up on them first to make sure I get the right size for her and I need to remember to get her a leg rest as well (which in some cases costs extra!)

    Off I go....*yawn*
