Whatever the majority want - I'll have to keep to doing my own lists; it seems to be working well; but I will happily try and join in with deep-cleaning activities as my health and dog-sitting duties allow.:o
All I will say is.... DON'T DISAPPEAR!! I rely on my friends here for inspiration, motivation, and probably several other words ending in ...ation!:rotfl:
World domination? procrastination? devastation? molestation!!!?? lol...
You may need a rephrase there!
I never do anything useful productive or vaguely like cleaning I am just here for the sociability..I don't care what you do.. just do as you pleases!

Hi - I have just read through this forum and wanted to say you do a great job and I was going to join in with this thread from Monday :j. I personally think it is great how it is and might possibly find a monthly option too daunting
, Anyway I will give it a go whatever you decide to do.
I will get my house in order!:)
Thanks0 -
Not bored in the slightest - I love the thread as it is and would love to see it continue as it is.... PLEASE!!
Sorry I've not been posting much this week but I've been working and time has run away with me.
BIG HUGE GINORMOUS THANKS for juliejim & dustykitten for keeping the thread going I really do appreciate it and I'm sure many others will agree.
So... I think there are people lurking out there who, if nudged gently, might de-lurk and post.......
Go on, you know you want to
Can we recruit 10 new flyladies over the weekend to start the new week on Monday??
AND... previous flylady posters... do please come back and tell us how you are doing*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
Can I make a plea for a weekly list still...monthly is daunting (IMO) as has been said but also I think a monthly list would bee too much for newbies; I can see the advantage of a monthly list for threads such as the Grovcery Challenge as most people are paid monthly.
Maybe we ciould ring the changes by having a BASIC list - ie the minimum to keep, say, a 3 bedroomed semi under control, so that key rooms get a basic clean then maybe add some wacky challenges - eg (just off the top of my head)
a shoe sort - all foorwear checked, some cleaned as necessary, visit to cobblers, upgrade of shoe shine kit, chuck what nneds chucking etc
a coat sort - check coats, take to cleaners/wash/chuck/mend
just a thought...
and Bonnie - well said
I do post, atm I know I'm not posting about flying (because I'm doing so little) but I am trying...
DD has had a major sort out; toys are going and also loads of Hama beads and board (and Hama type beads) from Ikea...but they don't seem to be selling well on ebay. Mush as I appreciate her sorting/throing what I don't appreciate is that everything ends up in my bedroom because I have to decide by what method it's leaving Villa Valli (preferred option is in an e bay parcel lol)
*has recalled number of pairs of shoes and boots owned and thinks self has been rash with suggestion*:rotfl:
apols for typos iot's late I'm tired and I have sticky eyes doe to hayfever - evrything is blurred...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

we have eye drops - but I can't get 'em in cos I blik lol
the kids are worse than me - I have bought EIGHT boxes of tissues this week - and not the cheap ones because they hurt wet skin...
if I was any kind of an adequate mother DD would have an officail diagnosis and a script of her own - atm she's sharing DS's because I haven't had time to take her but I KNOW it IS hayfever...
we have all had asthma/eczemea and hafever - the vallikids were less than thrilled when informed they each had the 'full set'
(feel blessed thoughas the asthma has been grown out of and the eczema was/is very mild - I now just use sudocrenm on it)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Well, here's one for you! I have been reading Martin's newsletters for years and lurking for a few months on Flylady, but never got round to signing up for the MSE Forum until this week, when I was finally tempted by the chance to get a free copy of "Polish for Dummies". We have just come back from yet another holiday in Poland - a very beautiful country with lovely people - and I need to put my mind to learning the language properly at long last, so that I can at least read the list of ingredients on food packages and the footnotes on bus timetables.
I've enjoyed hearing about you all and following the ups and downs of this little community - I am truly amazed at what some of you pack into your days - as well as getting regular encouragement to clean in corners that I wouldn't otherwise bother about. My house was not in a particularly bad state to start with, because I had a grand fling 3 years ago when we moved house, but everything's much shinier now and I don't put off jobs like I used to. But it's an ongoing challenge: if I stop flying for a week or so, the chaos returns and then my brain goes into meltdown.
That's why I agree with people who want this list to stay basically as it is. "How do you eat an elephant? - One bite at a time!" comes to mind. But taking even small bites is difficult when the whole elephant is plonked down in front of you. What Dusty and Jue are doing (metaphorically, of course!!!) is to present us with only a few mouthfuls at a time, which we can easily digest. Like everyone else on the list, I know exactly what needs doing in my house on a regular basis, but there are so many other things going on in my life that I need a regular prod to knuckle down and get things done in bite-sized chunks.
Flying is fun! Thank you all for your inspiration!0 -
