Bossy have a pleasant weekend with the littl'uns. :o

Nicki I hope your DD continues to heal well; good that she was able to refuse the pain meds for a bit.

As I've actually completed my lists for the week,:j I've had a radical tidy of my computer desk. We've recently emptied a tin that held some rather lovely greetings cards, so I've put a load of the bibby-bobby-bits that I don't often need into it and stashed it in the lounge cupboard. This effectively frees up a letter rack that had stickers, post-its and gawd knows what else in it, for me to use for it's proper purpose, so I can have doggy instruction sheets, their postcards home, and such-like stashed tidily but still to hand, not loose on the desk.

I've been forbidden from attempting to mow the back lawn on my own.:( *strop, strop* in case I hurt myself. It desperately needs doing, and knowing our luck, it'll rain over the weekend. I used to be able to manage, if I did one "up and down" pass, then rested for a bit, then did another, and so on. The difficult bit is lifting the grass box to empty into the wheelie-bin. But Mr LW says to leave it til he's here.

    Afternoon all

LW well done on completing the list, not something I have achieved in a long while!

Spent 4 hours interviewing for promotions

half hour mowing next doors lawn

I've managed to wash LR curtains. DS2 busy knocking nails back into the decking.

Time for a cuppa now, then seeing a friend and I think a Friday night wizz round so see what I can do off the list.

In fairness, it is my own list, tailored to our bungalow, but it's good to see it all done. ;)

Ooh, and I found something to mend!! When Mr LW took his chinos off the other night, the button came off in his hand, so I've re-attached it now they've been washed.:D It took a while as it's the waistband button, and that material's difficult for me to get the needle through. 'Tis done, though.:T

He's got some new chinos, too; they arrived today. He's an awkward size - 29" inside leg - and all the shops in MK seem to do 30" as the shortest length, which is simply too long for him, so when we saw some advertised in the paper, he sent for them. It's a company he's had stuff from before and been pleased, so should be OK.:o His office dress code is "smart casual" so he wears chinos and a shirt for work, with one of his tweed jackets.:o

well, all I've managed today is to change the bedding! Caught up on a couple of tasks yesterday, and the flat is starting to look and feel a lot better, even though I didn't do anywhere near all the tasks on the list!

    have a nice weekend

    Question about Flylady for July

The thread has been very quiet for sometime now and Jue and I wondered if you were all just a bit bored of it? We are happy to change things but only if this is what the majority would like, we don't want to lose more flyladies!

One idea is to have a monthly thread for July with some basic tasks to be repeated each week (stuff like hoovering, mopping, cleaning toilets and sinks) but then to have more focus each week on a certain room to allow for some deeper cleaning and decluttering?

Please do share any ideas of what you would like to see on the lists or how you would like things to be. We will never produce a perfect list for everybody.

If you want to vote for things to stay just the way they are then tell us that too.

    Many thanks Dusty and JulieJim

I love it the way it is Dusty and think daily tasks make it more manageable. But obv I'll go with the majority :)

Whatever the majority want - I'll have to keep to doing my own lists; it seems to be working well; but I will happily try and join in with deep-cleaning activities as my health and dog-sitting duties allow.:o

All I will say is.... DON'T DISAPPEAR!! I rely on my friends here for inspiration, motivation, and probably several other words ending in ...ation!:rotfl:

I'm not really a regular on here, so don't want to jump in and make suggestions but I find sometimes that the FLyLady thread is just what I need to give me the [STRIKE]kick up the bum[/STRIKE] motivation to do the boring household tasks and to get my flat looking ok :) so thankyou to you both for organising it.
