I am trying to be a bit healthy foodwise and the main problem I have is breakfast.
I am never ready to eat before I go to work and when I get there - it isnt the place I could nip off and cook myself mushrooms on toast!
Can anyone give me some inspiration on things I could make up (hopefully the night before) and take to work with me to eat at my desk?
Was thinking of yoghurty type pots but wouldnt have a clue what to stick in it to 'beef' it up a bit!

Cereals/museli with yoghurt over is really nice
Exceptionally nice with some fresh fruit in the middle, or defrosted frozen berries etc works too. Doesn't go soggy like milk on cereals does if you try to take that somewhere
oh yes I did!
Could take milk and cereals seperate of course.
Making your own chewy/cereal bars is also an option, someone might be able to post link for these, have ben recipes before but I can't find them. One day I might be more organised...........

I make a cold Swiss muslei which would be ideal:
Take 50g porridge oats and add 1tbsp sweetened, skimmed condensed milk (you can leave that out if you can't get hold of it). Heat 200mls milk with as much cinammon as you like until boiling and pour over the porridge oats. Add a handful of frozen fruit - I like blueberries and raspberries - and leave overnight.
In the morning it's lovely and thick and would easily go into a container for an hour or two until you get to work. It's also lovely with a grated apple, but I wouldn't add that until the morning.0 -
Depends if you like sweet or savoury. I always used to take a box of butties and have a couple for breakfast and the rest for lunch. Cheese or egg mayo were the regular favourites, and salad or sliced up cooked new potatoes with mayo in the summer months.
If you get free milk at work (for drinks) just take a box of cereal and keep it in you desk drawer.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

How about a bagel with some kind of filling, bacon and egg if you have the time before work, or a cinnamon bagel with honey.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
