I cook a batch of sausages/ frittatas, put them in the fridge and re-heat them for quick breakfasts. It's the protein that keeps you sated.

My lot love breakfast. These are some of their favourites:

Scrambled eggs on toast, poached eggs on toast, fried egg sandwich, boiled eggs with soldiers, sausages and toast, mushrooms and tomatoes on toast, devilled kidneys on toast, bacon sandwiches, porridge, french toast, cheese on toast and even beans on toast in winter. Also hm filled pancakes, scotch pancakes or warm croissants with hot chocolate.

Try this thread for lots of ideas:

My most common breakfast is an egg. I prefer poached but usually boil (second favourite) or dry fry (easiest in a busy morning).

Scandinavian berry soup. We love it, and have it as soup with a dash of yoghurt, or as a dressing in a bigger portion of yoghurt, or on porridge.

Breakfast CAN be anything, rememeber. Lots of people are enjoying miso soup for breakfast here now, so a cup of bovril or a light veg soup or broth might be a more traditional approach. Heated up left overs might also be a good incentive not to have seconds the night before. I love the idea of bubble and squeak for breakfast....I mupight suggest it to dh.

Waffles - Lidl have waffle makers quite frequently for about £10. They are no more difficult, expensive or time consuming to make than pancakes but somehow they seem a bit more "special" and are a lovely treat for a weekend breakfast. I dithered about buying a waffle maker but ours gets used often.

    Hi.

Apart from porridge and toast, what other hot breakfasts can we all have during the winter to keep us full and warm?
    On a budget.
Left over vegetable curry always does it for me...but then my "breakfast" is usually a late lunch.

Mmmmmm, reheated Chinese takeaway is the best breakfast ever :happyhear :o.

(speaking as someone who's been low- carb for several weeks and has an egg or a sausage for breakfast most days :D)
