Hi misskool,
I don't do sweet breakfasts so we only eat savoury breakfasts....eggs (scrambled, poached, boiled) with toast. Bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, kidneys, cheese etc all make great breakfasts.
I often use this brilliant website for inspiration:
breakfastandbrunch.com
There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas too:
Moneysaving Breakfasts...What are you having?
I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

French toast/eggy bread is lovely with a bit of ketchup on the side.
Porridge made with water and a pinch of salt is very OS.0 -
My Hubby got me on to mediterraneanish veggie breakfast type thing - falafel, humous, pitta, fried egg, beans ooh can't remember what else will have to ask him. Didn't like the sound of it at first but really like it now - usually on a Sunday."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

I'm too idle to wash pans in the morning so I slice a couple of fresh tomatoes onto toast and pop it under the grill for a minute.
This is nice with some oregano sprinkled over the top too - it was all I found myself eating for the first couple of months of my second pregnancy! :rotfl:I also love avocado on toast, especially on brown. Some parsley over the top is yum too, as is a drizzle of olive oil instead of butter. Anything along those cooked breakfast/"on toast" lines would be good. Otherwise how about:- toasties
- soft tortilla filled with any/a mixture of tomato, avocado, mushrooms, onion, egg
- savoury muffins
- savoury scones
- "breakfast" pastries, puff pastry with cooked egg, mushrooms or onion, topped with a tomato slice to have with a dollop of brown sauce... mmm...
- A handful of nuts and seeds with a banana or over plain yoghurt (not exactly savoury, but not overly sweet)
- How about plain ole bread and butter, or crackers/rice cakes with marmite, peanut butter or avocado.
- Experiment with breads such as a filled bap, English muffin, savoury pancakes, etc.
Love and compassion to all x0 -
Or for a 'quickie' - rice cakes and peanut butter/p butter & marmite/marmite & tahini/marmite& cottage cheese.
Or pitta spread with tomato paste or marmite, topped with cheese and grilled.
Or any of above with some nice French bread."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Whip up an egg in a Pyrex ovenproof glass jug, throw in a small amount of grated cheese and cook for about one & a half minutes on Medium in your microwave. If you want bacon in it, slice up a rasher and cook it alone in the jug for a minute before you slosh in the egg and grated cheese.0

thanks all! lots of lovely things.
I just got bored of cereal at work and I don't have much time to have breakfast at home.0 -
if you eat at work, how about some cooked sausages or left over chicken from the night before, or egg fritatta, omelette thingy, that you cooked the night before,0

Could you get a toaster for work and have toast? Or make the toast at home and eat it cold at work. I rarely eat breakfast though so toast is about the limit of my imagination!
xThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

There's a toaster at work so that's been used a few times. I could live on ramen instant noodles for breakfast but it's completely carb laden and probably full of MSG.
I can't really eat when I wake up (it takes a while for my body to kick in) but I can't last until lunchtime either. :rotfl:
Gone with Boodles wrap with egg and spinach for tomorrow. I hope no one comes near me till I've had my coffee!!0
