agreed but £10k makes for a pleasant year after giving up the furniture, some new kit, a holiday or if you prefer hookers and blow.

They can demand what they want but as they are not owned by the LL they are not included in the sale.

OP just tell them they are your property not the LL and are not included in the ssale. Further demands will be seen as harrasment!

Right, letter posted off today so it should be received tomorrow. (thanks propertyman, I copied a lot of yours!)

There is a missed call on my phone from a blocked number, so it is either the LA or work (and considering Ive been in work today that seems unlikely) but I am not phoning them back nor responding to the email.
  • This must be quite some bed for the buyers to threaten a whole house sale over it!

It really isnt! Perhaps they will buy but not at full asking price. Who knows. I feel that their terms were agreed to and they don't want to upset them now.

I wonder if the buyers think you have a very valuable piece of furniture, but don't know it? That might explain their interest.

Or perhaps it's me watching too many 'Lovejoy' repeats!
Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.

and for future reference, never assume the letting section and selling sections of an estate agent actually speak to one another, no matter how close together their desks are lol. I read this whole thread and have laughed on every page.

I really hope you have more luck in the future.

I have also followed this thread in a OMG they did what:eek: sort of way:o but hopefully they have now got the message.

I did post earlier that they did know OP was a tenant but on rereading the first post, I think the Sunday morning email was possibly the reaction to selling having finally spoken to letting and realising the truth of the matter:rotfl::rotfl:
