I can't believe what I'm reading here.
1. It's your furniture
2. They can bring people to view only after giving an agreed notice period
3. You don't have to worry about references or your deposit
You do not have to explain the personal value of the furniture to the agent or anyone. It's not for sale!
If they have a buyer, start looking for somewhere else to live and put any moved furniture back in the original place.

Tell the EA that you already have an offer for £1000 for the furniture, and see if you can get the EA to persuade their buyer to 'up' their offfer. Tempting as is may be to start messing about someone who is messing you around, it's best not to. Keep the message simple - the furniture belongs me and it's not for sale!0 -
Put the problem back on the shoulders of those that caused it.
" It is clear that between you ( EA) and the LA, you failed to check the inventory to see that the flat was let unfurnished. You chose to negotiate over items that were not the landlord's to sell .
You will have to make your apologies to the purchaser for causing the confusion.
Would you please thank the house purchasers for their interest but I have no interest in selling the furniture at any price or discussing it further.

Having thought about it overnight, I am thinking that the thing to do is to ask the EA to get the buyers in touch to negotiate directly. As and when they do, ask them about negotiations so far, which may reveal some interesting snippet. And then tell them that the furniture is yours as tenant.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I would state that although the furniture has huge and significant sentimental value, a one time payment of £10,000 would soften the blow sufficiently to enable you to move on with your life.Sealed pot challange no: 3390 -
