Thinking about it I can understand why someone might do this.
Perhaps they do not want regular posters to know the circumstances of how their relationship came into being, bearing in mind some of the vitriol that is directed at people in those cases.0 -

When someone who is long time poster using AE I automatically avoid the thread to start with, I would never post under a AE but I wouldn't disresepect my partner or personal friends like that.0
