Watched it last night, seems like a rerun of the his garden makeover programme minus the lady with puppies in her blouse and the handyman :D
Yes I thought the same thing. (Well, not exactly the thing about the lady and the handyman:eek:) Ground Force revisited! A bit of a disappointment really as I was hoping for a proper gardening programme :(

. I guess gardening is a minority interest and opinion on gw is such that lots of people who would want gardening shows hate gw and won't complain, even though if they did more priority might go to the gardeners in scheduling

Oddly enough, on last Fridays GW, Carol Klein remarked there are an estimated 11 million gardens in the UK, so even if it's give or take a million, that's a lot of potential viewers if they can ever sort the format and scheduling out. :)

I bet garden force was more popular than gw when it was on though. Peoe want gardens but do not necessarily like gardening.

Btw, i was also bored rigid by the titmarsh show and said exactly the same about it being garden force all over again, but i think thats what a lot of people want.

I've bought myself a boxed DVD set of 3 of Geoff Hamilton's series.
This will gives me hours of gardening inspiration whilst avoiding sports on TV.

Basically that it was unreasonable to take GW off the air for 4w with gardening being such a national pastime. That they were abrogating their duty to license payers who watch GW. While appreciating olympics/wimbledon etc I did make the point that 'iplayer only' was an option.
