Gardeners World is now off air for another 4 weeks because of the bl**dy sport.

I hate it when the p*ss about and take it off air

Why if they have to do this can't the put it on another channel or the red button or best of all move the bl**dy sport

Quite ridiculous. If there's one time of year when a gardening programme is 'relevant' it's now. If the BBC can't find a slot on BBC4, they could just stick the programme on iPlayer.

At least there's still Beechgrove, I think the snow has now melted from their garden.
  • I second that. absolutely useless. the bbc have so many channels and still they cant get it right

Absolute disgrace BBC taken GW off air for 4 weeks, is this sort of thing that annoys me not consideration we have 4 BBC channels not including HD (2) they could pout GW on later if sport is on. The other night they had midwife program on that was on in Jan/feb this year less than 6 months ago so another repeat.

GW should be on every week its peak season

I wonder why we bother with licence any more its not that we pay their wages apparently well they must think so

Oh and Michael Wood program (Great British story) wasnt on last night either I was looking forward to that. No warnings at all last week

BBC are a disgrace. I cant wait to get rid of licence when kids grow up they can shove it

    I am sending a complaint

Another reason to tell BBC to shove licence if thats how they treat us. They suppose to offer choice, what choice is there if they have all those streams for Olympics. They might be on free jollies to get tickets I don't know but believe or not some of us dont care about sport not one bit

I've complained also, unfortunately gardening is seen as a middle class activity and therefore has no place in the Utopian minds of the tireless class warriors ensconced at the BBC.

  • so instead we must watch overpaid tennis players kicking the bejesus out of line judges if you tune into bbc2

I agree. Why is it that Gardener's World is always the first casualty when sport is being shown? and I'm also pleased to see that I'm not the only who is totally disinterested in any of these sporting occasions. At the moment we seem to have football, rugby, horseracing, tennis, to be followed by weeks of Olympics (that's after they've finished showing people running around the country with a torch!) We only get one hour of gardening a week and then only in summer. Tbh I think that something should be shown through the winter when we are all suffering from garden withdrawal symptoms, but that's another story...

I have also complained and asked the BBC if there will be any coverage of Hampton Court Flower Show 3-8 July and Tatton Flower Show 18-22 July.
