She is totally gorgeous! I have a feeling she is going to have you wrapped around her little tabby paw by Friday night lol
As for the other cat I agree with what some other people have said don't feel guilty at all. It is alot with getting new cats use to each other I have had to do it 8 times and it is stressful for all involved.First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Lovely kit-kat - am sure she'll make full use of you the minute she's there!
Not sure I'd shut her in a room the first night - each to their own. Mine have always had the run. Jerry Cat just hid for days when I first got him (he was about 3 and very scared) so I left him to it and talked to him constantly. He ventured onto my bed the first night but spent the time sleeping where he chose to feel safe, or exploring his new surroundings. When I got Lottie, she spent the night on the washing basket in my room (cos Jerry was on the bed and a bit fascinated with her) - although she did jump on my bed once, but she had the run and found her own hidey holes.
Make sure internal doors are either propped open, or closed properly. You don't want them pushing a door open and venturing in a room, only to find themselves stuck cos they can't open it again from the inside.
Good luck! Enjoy! Pics please when you have her

Well, we picked Maisie up 2.5 hrs ago ! She seems a lot smaller than I remember, and so lost & vulnerable

We put her tray, bed, carrier, food & water in the utility room. She decided to ignore the nice comfy cat bed & jump up on the work surface where she promptly hid behind the bread maker (deliberately placed to create a hidey hole in the corner) & has stayed there since.
Apparently she hasn't eaten well at her foster mum's for the last few days, but in the space of those 2.5 hours, she's reached out for dry nibbles with her paw from her hiding space & then wolfed down half a packet of felix when it was brought up & put in front of her. I'm really chuffed
ETA: we've now had half an hour of head rubs & scratches & lots of stroking. She's even been brave enough to come out of the utility, tour the kitchen & head for the hallway. Admittedly all at lightening speed with a quick retreat to the utility, but it's a good start!"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -
Ok, I admit it, I'm besotted already

Although she's still a bit nervous, and will only explore most of the house when we're with her, she has found a nice new hiding spot at the top of the bookcase in the study.

She's lovely - welcome to the exclusive group of cat slaves. We allow them to sleep on the beds, sofa etc. Always have several types of food available to ensure their every needs are catered for and get up at 4.00a.m. to feed them if they ask! Only certain of us are selected!0

Maisie is still being a bit of a scaredy-cat, and finding it safer to stay on top of the bookcase. She is however showing signs of recognising us & being more inquisitive of things in general. Hubby's slimfast had a little kitty nose in it this morning

She's a lovely gentle girl, who is just finding it hard to find her feet - understandable really when she's been handed from one owner to another, then to foster where she had a litter, "lost" her babies, then moved to a new strange home, all in the space of a few weeks.
She seems to like being up high, and I was hoping her cat tree would have been here by now. Unfortunately, Yodel seem to be fairly useless at the business of delivering parcels....
