Good morning All
snowyowl, pinkwinged and Ausielass, sounds like you all had a fab evening
Happy ST PATRICKS DAY to you all to.
Happy Birthday snoozer - enjoy your day!
Gosh! i cant believe its after 11am and we're on the 4th page allready! Ive only managed to read th efirst page, so will read the rest in a mo!
I too was watching Comic Relief, unitl about 2.30am, took me a while to drop off to sleep, then I was up again at 7.45am. I was posted to Kenya in 1993 for 3 months, and the poverty seen on TV cant be justified until you actually see it for yourself! It is amazing how much we take for granted for over here.
Been sorting out the clean washing, aswell as putting the WM on, ironed all kids clothes for the wk end as they are going to Birmingham with their dad, to see their grandad (as ex FIL has taken a turn for the worse) I dont know the full details yet, but will kepp you posted!
Must attempt to sort out DD bedroom also, and sort through her clothes. She's had a massive growth spurt, and despite her being 7, she's pratically wearing age 9-10 clothes! So a trip to out local Donnay (sports shop) might be in order. She's getting to old for barbie clothes, and has requested to have some tracksuits! I can pick up some decent ones in Donnay and really cheap (for those of you, who know's the store) - I would never never pay the costs they charge in JJB or anywhere else! Its not often my DD asks for things, so I dont mind on this occasion. Last week I picked up a named full tracksuit for DS and it cost £8.
Anyway, best get a move on
Have a great week end all
Love Emma

P.S Amiee Ive not had breakfast yet, but when I do, it will be a bowl of shreddies or weetabix! DS was first up, and cos we had no milk, he decided to re-heat some KFC chicken from the fridge and have that instead! He has since though had a bowl of weetabix and toast! lolHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Morning all…….again!
I have a bit of a foggy head this morning, but last nights dishes are done and the kids and the cat have been fed and watered.
Amie, favourite breakfast here is a leisurely full Irish at the weekend (must have potato bread and soda bread) …….but can’t face it this morning. _pale_
Snoozer, Happy Birthday. Have a lovely day! :bdaycake:
Ok, off to waken Mr Pink with a cup of tea and think about phoning Snowy to see if she feels as good as I do this morning.
Have a good day everyone!

Hi everyone.
Am going to enjoy Paddys day today.
Not looking forward to tomorrow. My Dad died suddenly in May 2006, aged 69, and my Mum passed away from long term cancer in November 2006, aged 62. Needless to say, since then the days have been full of 'firsts' (first Xmas/NY without them, first MD without mum, first FD without dad, etc etc.)
Am trying to stay positive, and put on a brave face for DH, but I do let myself have a cry when I need to. Have still got a sister and a brother, but they live 300 miles away in the Midlands. So DH is my rock. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
Anyway, I dont want to upset anyone. Just needed to share.
Have a wonderful time all you mums out there - let the kids spoil you rotten! And dads, love to you too.
LG
Edited at 1340hrs. THANKYOU to everyone for their support. It really does mean a lot.

Good morning all! And especial LOUD good mornings to Snowy, MR and MRS Aussie and MR and MRS Pink:rotfl: :rotfl: So glad you had a lovely time yesterday/today you naughty stop-ups!!:D
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Snoozer!!! Hope you have a great day:T
Nothing much planned today, except for loads (by which I mean mountains!) of ironing. Funny, the ironing fairy just never visits me, no matter how long I leave it for:rotfl:
My favourite breakfast? Umm, don't usually eat breakfast ( maybe a satsuma, occasional bowl of porridge) except when I'm away then woohoo! Full English/Irish depending on location, or in USA Country potatoes followed by a short stack and maple syrup with soured cream! Continental is fine the first few days. Now I feel ravenous!!
The weather is really changing now, quite clouded over and the temperature is dropping noticeably. We've got DH's aunts funeral Monday, do hope we don't get any snow.
Well must get off, ((((hugs))) for the taking.

Forgot to say Happy ST Patrick's Day! I'll join in with anyone's celebration! No I'm not a lush, just sociableYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Ladygrim ((((Hugs)))) So sorry you have had such a rotten year, I lost my Mum on March 19th 1995 right around Mothers Day and I know that it will always hurt, especially when you see all the adverts on tv, and I lost Dad 4 years later but now when these dates come around I pop some flowers by their photos and play some Nat King Cole (their favourite) and do find that this helps me. Keep in mind the happy memories and give thanks for having such lovely parents. ((((((Hugs)))))) again
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

bargain babe - so pleased your cat is fit enough to go outside now! Hope your evening goes well to celebrate your mum's engagement. My mum also got engaged at Christmas. Her new chap seems ok, but something is bugging me about him (dont know what). As long as she's happy, that's ok. But I have talked her round into living with him first, rather than marry 1st then move in together.
Amiee the pics are wonderfull. Ive never seen a manatee before, and like Bargain Babe said, they do look weird and cute! I too prefer dolphins & Shamu is lovely. Thankyou for the web link to Shamu also. Ive got DD and her class all hooked on it! We still hope to go next year, but at the moment, Im concentrating on paying off more debts, so not really being able to save as much as we first started doing!
OH just nipped out to run some errands. Then he will pop the claim form into the vets what we received from the pet insurance! I cant face doing it!
hardup hester congrats to the new baby!
Love the lyrics donny-gal :rotfl:
(((hugs))) lady grim and tired mum and anyone else who needs them.
Now I must get a riggle on
Take care

Thought we were going to have a quiet weekend
The car got taken away last night but didn't go without a fight - but went in the end! We got our repair car back but it is making a whistling noise which wasn't there before. We got our speeding ticket this morning despite sending a letter asking for compassion. Cars - they drive us nuts!!
We haven't had a viewing in two weeks and thought well maybe it will be quiet till Easter now, so planned on a quiet weekend. We have a viewing tomorrow at 1pm but hope they won't be another BSer!
Anyway meals
Had Branflakes and muesli mix with skimmed milk, cranberrry and pineapple juice, Lady Grey tea, Irish flavoured coffee. Two mini pastries, cinnamon whirl and custard pastry.
Tonight making something with spuds and cheese for St Patrick's day.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

There's a thread about Mother's Day over on the Marriage, Relationships and Families board where you might find some support. It was started by somebody whose little daughter died last year, but lots of people have posted on it who have recently lost either their mother or a child.

Well, its afternoon, just about to get some lunch.
Late waking up, had a quick trip to the bank to pay in the cash for the computer and Cadec BBQ we sold, then on to the library and to get batteries for the krook lock.
OH is packing the car for tomorrows boot sale..........its a nice bright day, pity I had not done the washing, did a white load yesterday and got it dry.
Fav brekki in this house is grilled bacon and tomato's with fried bread and left over haggis........delish..........I could just go a plateful now!!!!
Have to make bread and scone, need to pack up sarnies for tomorrow, undecided whether to go out for a meal tomorrow night, depends how we feel when we get back from the boot sale. Might decide to save the cash instead.
