I really want to swim with dolphins - is it worth doing in America or would it be better to go to Mexico where they are wild! - ooh maybe I'll have to go there as well!
Note to self : stop getting carried away - go and enjoy Holland and forget about it for now - bah, humbug....If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Amie
Made a la carte breakfasts
DH wanted beans on toast
Two DDs had a bacon and egg sandwich and I joined them.
Need to take DD(13) shopping later if I can cadge a lift to Leeds from DH.
No idea what to cook later but the brekkie should hold us for a while."This site is addictive!"

Forgot about breakfasts. Favourite weekend brekky is warm brioche with chocolate chips and a huge mug of tea
DH gets me these sometimes to cheer me up
Best breakfast I ever had was in a tiny one-street town in Canada on the edge of the Algonquin Park(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitney,_Ontario - check out the photo) - there was a diner/general store on the main street. The store section sold *everything* from shampoo and milk to bullets and spare wheels for your truck. DH and I had spent the night in an off-season backwoods motel (think Twin Peaks) and woke up starving. We drove to this diner and had a huge stack of pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, maple syrup and cup after cup of strong coffee. I can still taste those sausages! That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -

The loft clearing is one of our tasks when we finish work later this year, we've been in the same house for 33.5 years, so you can imagine the task facing us! :eek:Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Hi,
well that's all the chores done that need to be done for the day, the rest of the day is all mine, so I'm heading out now for a [STRIKE]wee drop [/STRIKE], a good drop o' guinness, it'll only be £1, (yes a pound) a pint at my club, so take care all and enjoy the day.0 -
:hello:
How beautiful is that!!!
Aimie I hope you don't mind me nicking your piccie and posting it again but that is just so gorgeous! Where do I sign up to adopt one? I can offer a nice canal, unlimited belly rubs and as much green stuff as they can eat...
Right, that's it. I'm saving up for a trip to Sea World. Manatees and Shamus here I come.
*Jill gets a grip on herself*
OK, breakfast. My favorite at the moment is waffles with fruit, greek yoghurt and a naughty little trickle of maple syrup. Yum! It's my fav mid morning brunch at the weekends. Hmmmm, I feel a brunch coming on.
Coot update - I got to have a peep in the nest this morning while Mrs Coot was seeing off some over-curious geese. What a fantastic little nest! Very well constructed from twigs and bits of polystyrene cup (Mr Coot has a thing about them) then lined with dried leaves and lots and lots of goose down! wornderful! I wanted to climb in and curl up myselfNo sign of chicks yet but it can't be long now. I just hope they stay safe in their shells until the cold snap is over.
Off to Wilkos this morning for some paints and other bits and bobs. Better get a move on as I'm expecting a delivery this afternoon.
Thanks for the piccies Aimie, I'm another Shamucam addict now.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Snoozer :bdaycake:
and Happy St Patrick's Day to all celebrating (any excuse does me)

Hello everybody - just skimmed the threads today. Hope everyone is well. Well, FIL has had a heart attack on top of COPD and a chest infection. MIL is taking advantage of DH being up to go to argos and get a new vacuum cleaner (why her other son can't take her is beyond me but I have seen DH drive 400 miles to take her to an apt at hospital and then come back the same day - and other son lives about 10 mins away in a car....) Fave breakfast is either a full english (if it's well done) or I'm quite partial to a continental (it's the cheese!). I have no Irish in me from either side - and we can, due to being "the other side of the bedsheets", go back on Mum's side to 13th century and Dad's lot came from Denmark in the mid-1800s. His lot settled in Leicester and the rest went on to Germany - not a good move for a jewish family, still.... DH on the other hand has a Dad from Derry and a Mum from Donegal. He was born in Morecambe though - considering he was brought up in Glasgow this is a fact I remind him of regularly when England play Scotland :rotfl: I plan to do NOTHING today - well, I have Zoflora'd the kitchen so now the smell of wallflowers is wafting through the house. I have done the composting though and the usual daily jobs. Very sore from falling over yesterday - all my bruises have started coming out and I've got some lovely ones from the stone edging down the path
O)n a good note my ring that I ordered as a "you've been very poorly, poor you" pick-up has arrived so I am now sat here with it on feeling like Liz Taylor circa 1950s as it's a huge smoky quartz and diamond cocktail ring (don't panic - it was cheap!) - makes me feel even posher than usual
Right I am off to surf e-bay for cheap seeds and to see what I'm putting on tomorrow is going for!!
Breakfast: cereal and tinned fruit
Lunch: remains of last night's gorgeous "chuck it together" stir-fry
Dinner: Spaghetti Marinara - I've defrosted some prawns by accident (don't ask) so I'll have to use them now.But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
