Fly by love for you. I know we keep in touch in other ways but always nice to catch up on the diary and see what is reported on here. Ref SIL, Bro et al, life is too short sometimes to worry. Keep being you, and they either get with the programme or don't. I'm long since done worrying about my sister, and my biggest bro dipped out of all our lives when I was a kid, not long after he married a witch. I forgot him, as kids do. It's amazing how now that my parents are getting older and he has heard on the grapevine that they have spent a bit of money doing up their house that he keeps turning up on the doorstep.. (am I too cynical?) My dad put me on the phone to him one day. I just said 'Hi, you alright?' and 'Yeah, good thanks' and that was it. So awkward. Mum sent me a pic of him. I honestly wouldn't know him if he walked up and bit me on the you know what. Sometimes these things have to be let drift. I am polite, but distant. That is all you need to be.
Hugs xx

Hello ladies. I am chipping in to let you all know HAW is safe and well. Enjoying time with a friend from Scotland at the minute and has been a busy bee. Since she changed jobs as she put it herself she 'is grateful for the chance to sit down for 2 minutes on a loo break' - she is happy and healthy though.
She has lots to catch folks up with so I will let her deliver the rest. Just wanted you all to know she is chipper! xx

BW, Lucky, Skint, Mrs H, Lilt, Uni and Chev - thank you all soooooo much for posting during my (rather long!) absence!!
I've missed you guys, but have thought about you all often, and wondered how you're all getting on. So so sorry for not being around. And thanks for letting everyone know I am fine lilt!
So where am I at?? Well, I left the 'other' work place, and started full time in my new job at the start of June. By the end of the first week I was absolutely beat! It's so busy and I'm used with sitting on my butt 8 hours a day. This job involves rather a lot of running about, some of which I bring on myself but sure it helps keep me fit
Needless to say I've lot of work to do at the new job and rarely fine myself in front of a pc - hence my absence
Loving the new job still. Getting on well with everyone, found my feet quite quickly. Def grateful for the opportunity to try it out before committing myself to full time hours. I would recommend that to anyone.
OH and I had our wee night away for our anniversary at the start of June. Didn't go quite according to plan as we had no car (in for service) and ended up training it (missed first train coz taxi didn't bother showing up then we got drenched walking for the next one!!), but all in all was a really good time away
A week later the SHTF and things went very pear shaped :S It was very touch and go between us for a while, but thankfully we've been able to move forward. On the most part anyway. I'm a female and I overthink. That's what I do. Just need to look forward and not back.
I am now about a week away from my last SO payment into FD regular saver and I'm on target! :j:j I've had to put away nearly £600 the last 2 months running to catch up with what I missed over Christmas and with the reduction in my hours at the start of the year, but it's a seriously good feeling knowing I'm almost there! I'm very proud of myself if you don't mind me saying so!!
Summer holidays are going grand. Girls all off school and enjoying the lie ins and endless boredom. Oh! Can I recommend a swingball set?? Haven't played for years but they're great craic:D
Still haven't got passports fully sorted for the girls, so we ended up taking them to Dublin for a few days. Got a couple of bargains on hotels.com, so overall it worked out fairly cheap. We took a skoot to Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo. Good times.
The main reason we went to Dublin (and my 'big' news), is that I am now a qualified Zumba instructor!!!!The girl who's class I normally go to has breast cancer so she's taking a break for treatment. With her and OH both encouraging me, plus a hint of curiosity from my end, I decided to go for it. The training day was tough (5+1/2 hours of dancing!!!!), but sooooooo much fun!
The target date of my first class, all being well, is Monday 8th September  I'm busy trying to learn the routines to umpteen songs, and familiarise myself with with music well enough that I don't stand there looking blank on my first night!! :rotfl:
Part of the reason I went for it is that I don't want in 5 or 10 years time to look back and wonder why I didn't go for it when I had the opportunity. It's a lot of money to fork out for something I don't even know if I'll be any good at, but I know I want to give it my best shot. If it fails, then Dublin was just a VERY expensive Zumba class :rotfl: If it works, then I've got myself a wee fun sideline and some extra money
Hope everyone is well. Will get a skoot round your diaries now to say hi!!
Love to you allWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
