Thanks! Pay from new work seems to be cash, so, in theory, I live on that every day. Kiiiiiiinda working ok, but slipping here and there*ahem*

Took car to get tyres before MOT, and they said we only needed 1, so £68 all in! :T Will still need a new tyre in a few months time, but good enough for now! Car passed MOT by the way :j:jSkint_but_Optimistic wrote: »wow thats brilliant. well done and glad work is going well
Thanks skint
So..... yeah things are all going well at the minute!
Had a very lovely and very busy week last week! Met mum, dad and 2x sisters for dinner on Monday night (mum paid!). Wednesday I went out for dinner with OH and the girls (OH paid!). Thursday was Zumba (paid for that myself). Friday I met up with a friend after work (she cooked!). Saturday me and OH headed to Belfast for our wee hotel break (which he'd paid for). Went to an all-you-can-eat buffet for dinner (OH paid) (and somehow managed a buffet for breakfast yesterday morning too!)
Ordered mum a bunch of flowers for Mothers Day. I've only done that once before, so it's not the 'norm' if you get me. Didn't get to see her as I was in Belfast with OH. Only mention of Mums Day to me was a text from DD3 late Saturday night. It was the sweetest text ever and had me blubbing!:D
Treated myself to new running bottoms and hat (had been using OHs). Also bought a new jacket today but haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not yet.
New kitchen (consolation prize for not getting the big house!! lol) being delivered this week. Hopefully this time next week it'll all be fitted and fully functional! Can't wait
Loving my new job, just not so much my regular job. To be honest I've lost all faith in them, and I just don't want to be here any longerWill keep an eye out for other PT jobs too, but maybe in a few weeks I'll mention to new boss about more hours.
Spending going so-so. Being good as much as I can but was bad over the weekend! Sticking to cash as much as possible so I can see exactly how much I'm spending.
Think that's most of my news for the time being. And think I've been round most diaries too. Apologies if I've missed anyoneWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Have we missed your birthday ??!! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Ummmmmmmm....
(but only coz I wasn't telling!!:D)
EDIT:
Dilemma: do I get bro (and SILs son and daughter) a birthday card like I normally do? They're all in the space of the next 2 weeks. I've been totally ignored for the last 4 months by all of them: crimbo, new year and birthday. Texts to bro are also being ignored.
I said I was putting the past where it belonged and moving on, but I was in the card shop looking for one for bro today and the usual 'brother' type card I get him just doesn't seem right?
What to do....?Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Hi!!! Catching up! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Phew well done on EVERYTHING things sound liek they are going well AND you have been having a blast
I would try and them a card. Just card and post it, be the bigger person! It will cost a £5 max (3 cards and postage) and your conscience is clear.
Do you have a card factory or card warehouse where you live? We have one and you get can get like 5 basic cards for £1.
Cheap and they do not have all the lovely duvey stuff in them either! I have a stash as a back up, but now since I am planning on moving abroad I have been using them up for everything! x0 -
Hi HAW, :hello:
Just catching up..
:bdaycake:
Belated Happy Birthday! ..Sounds like you had a great time! _party_
Congrats on the new job - hope you can get more hours and/or another part-time position, then can finally wave farewell to the Titanic employer... :cool:0 -
