Hi Robin :wave:Post the cards. Don't think the recipients deserve a personal visit this year; sure you've got better things to do.
(besides, SIL didn't really specify who was to deliver.... right?!;))
If my lot receive a present within a couple of months either side of their birthdays, reckon am doing well. :rotfl:
They don't seem to mind.

Have updated my FD in my sig. Total looks (really!) good so far, but I'm £650 behind what I could/should have in the account!
Would love love LOVE to get it up to full whack, and will be cutting back/saving as much as possible, but with the kitchen stuffs going on at the minute I think I'm gonna have to be happy that I'm putting anything away at the minute
Either that or tell OH I'll square up my half of the kitchen in September(and hope he forgets/loses my IOU :rotfl:)

I'm rubbish at sending cards (since my kids grew up and there is no longer a supply of home-made masterpieces to send, lol).

I wonder what it is like to have a family like that? My sister gave me my birthday present 2 months late and I was DELIGHTED - surprise/unexpected present! :money:
I did not, call her up and ask where my present was and that if I was not getting it soon to just transfer the cash to me!
FAMILY!!! :rotfl:Thank goodness I am perfect :A0 -

lolI gave them to her mum to pass on to them this time.
I got a text from SIL the next day to say 'thanks for the lovely cards' which I thought was progress. But bro didn't acknowledge my card nor text at all :(

All good and jobs are still going. One better than the other, but anyhoo. Money is money!
Kitchen looking absolutely fantastic, although not totally finished yet! Still few more finishing touches to be done. Tell me this, how on earth do you budget for something like this?! We didn't. We're just making stuff up as we go along. But my point is, we've gone from getting a new kitchen, then the tiles, then sockets... a new kettle, toaster, breadbin, 2-seater, lights, tea/coffee/sugar caddys, crockery.... etc etc etc! Wasn't in the original thinking. We just keep seeing stuff we like!! lolHave no idea on total costs yet and scared to add it up. Thankfully OH happy to let me add on to my 'tab' until my FD money can be got at in Sept
Sorry for not being online much recently. Hectic! Will try to pop round all diaries now for a catch up. Hope everybody is doing well and enjoying the sunshine :cool:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
