I too need a dentist and hairdresser appointment. Hairdresser is booked for saturday. Dentist is long long overdue!

Getting anything drastic done at hairdressers or playing it safe like me?! (i.e. 2" trim!)

Not the easiest thing to do at all, that's for sure. Little steps though I know they've got the card but they haven't acknowledged it. Doesn't matter if they do or not. I know I did the right thing

Thanks! Work in progress and house might be a looooooong time coming, but we'll get there!

Have printed out a diary page for December (I usually just use my phone!) and have a list of names of friends/family I need/want to see. Gonna try to schedule everybody in, whilst still leaving plenty of time with OH and the girls, and of course 'me' time too!

Oh! And so much for my 2 weeks of lie ins. OH is only taking the 3 bank holidays and 1 other day, so there goes my 11.30am alarm every day :mad::p:rotfl:

Everyone else all sorted ref crimbo plans/pressies??

So much for a 'happy' hump day... Just ran into OH and SIL in town. Was only there for a few mins, but SIL ignored me from start to finish

Good morning all

Well, after a bit of blubbing and some overthinking, I'm not gonna let SIL get to me. In a way I kinda brought this on myself by being honest with her about how she made me feel (!!), so I'll live with the consequences. I've plenty reason not to be civil, but I'm not gonna go down that road. She can react/ignore/whatever any way she wants. But I'm gonna hold my head up and know that I've done the right thing for me.



Want to try to get a couple more things as pressies on my lunch break, so will be back later to update on my total spends.

I'm in 2 minds about whether or not to go for the Soap & Glory bundle tomorrow. £27 instead of £60 is brilliant. But question is: is it for me or someone else?!? And if for me is it a need or a want?! :A

Boiler hopefully coming back from the doctor today, and I'm reeeeeeally hoping it's not a painful return

Ooooh actually did rather well at lunch! Few more names scored off my list thankfully

Total christmas pressie spends so far: £256.28

Only need to get 2x packs of M&S shortbread for the nans, and 2x vouchers for DDs 2 and 3 (so they get the same ££ spent on them as DD1), and that should be me pretty much done! Would like to get mum and dad something else too, so will maybe just keep an eye out, but won't panic if I can't find anything nice at a good price!! Although chocolate always goes down well!!

Decided I will do without the Soap & Glory set, tempting as it may be. I really have no need!

Totally agree with this. You have done everything right. If she can't be gracious and accept it then her loss. Apart from everything else, she should be the one grovelling not you!

Yes, I'm pleased with the shopping! I've huge bundle of stuff under my desk at work now, and I really wanna take it home and get it wrapped and under the tree! :D But will have to do that a bit at a time though, coz I walk to work....!

EDIT:
Boiler back and in action again. And the damage is.... £80! *phew* We'll be able to have more than just Bacardi and turkey for crimbo dinner now :rotfl:

Sooooo.... Finally had to try to break the ice, again, this morning.
3rd time lucky? I'd say WW3 officially started, but I'm not fighting back. It's gonna be a one-sided fight as far as I'm concerned. I'm done.

Hoping for a really quiet, really uneventful, and really peaceful weekend. Guess we'll have to wait and see! :rotfl:
