  • Well done you with First Direct :j

I also used Toluna and Valued Ops. They are the best 2 in my opinion aside from pinecone. Xx

Brilliant stuff on first direct HAW!! I want to start doing the same as soon as DH's Nationwide Flexdirect is full! Would have been starting this month but the money seems to have disappeared :/ must keep a tighter rein on it!

How long would you guys say you spend doing surveys etc? I do quite a few maximiles surveys boring and underpaid as they are. They seem to have dropped off quite a bit recently but I just do them when I can so maybe they aren't sending as many because of that now. I usually fit the demographic, mid twenties living in the Home Counties and working with a small child! I should do more survey sites definitely!

Good to know, Skint and Lucky. Thanks. Will get the head down and stick at them all :)Every little helps! ;)
I prob spend a couple hours a week in total I figure, including the ones I get screened out of. It's not a lot really, and I really should discipline myself more, but I'm *cough* at work *cough* :olilt: stick at them!

It actually helps having the money in the FD regular saver coz if I take it out before the 12 months I'll only get 0.1% interest or something feeble like that, so it's def an incentive to 'do without' ;)

Yay we made it!! :j Hopefully everyone is still in one piece!! It was a bit touch and go at this end for a while :p:rotfl:

party0049.gif 11 payments made to FD! 1 to go! party0049.gif

So far I think my idea of spending on my NW cc (cashback) and leaving my money in my NW current account (interest) should work! I just need to be very careful and not overdo it on the card! :o

Had Zumba last night - sooooo much fun as always!! :D Actually have Zumba tomorrow too. Our instructor is doing a 'gig' at a local festival (1st of 3 this summer that I know of!), and she's put together a small team. So, we're on the beach from 12-1 tomorrow!! Looking forward to it. Just hope it doesn't rain!

Out for dinner tonight with a friend :D
Hmmmm... when she texted to ask last night, I checked with OH to make sure we didn't have any plans, to which he said 'no', so I replied back to him to say I was going out for dinner.
Yet for ages I was beating myself up for telling him I was going out and not actually asking him if it was ok!! What is wrong with me?! I'm my own worst enemy sometimes :o

Still no holiday booked and not much mention of it either. If it happens it happens, but I'm done with the stressing about it.

Anyone any plans for the weekend??

I do think Necker is beautiful, but Richard Branson makes me itch. I appreciate the man has made billions from his companies, and is very clever yadda yadda, but there is something about him that gives me the urge to put my fingers down my throat everytime he appears. I don't think I could sleep in his bedroom, no matter how much money I had!! Lol.

Excellent stuff on FD. Permit me to ask, does NW stand for Nationwide or Natwest? DH has the Nationwide Flexdirect account with all of our savings in it currently as it pays 5% if we transfer £1k in (and out again sharpish ;)). Once we hit the £2.5k mark (next month) then I am opening the FD regular saver to take £300 per month of our savings money at 6% and then I shall be looking for somewhere else to place my remaining savings each month at a decent click of interest. I do like the flexdirect account :) maybe I will open one of those when his high interest 12 months finishes & I will take it up. Although I am not sure I can cope with my current money shuffle between 3 bank accounts, let alone another...:rotfl:

CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

:rotfl: Fair point! Well if I ever win the €-mill I'll buy the island and redecorate ;)

NW is Nationwide. Sorry should've been more clear!! :o

You've the head screwed on with your bank accounts! I've 4 bank accounts and considering a 5th, just for the £100 joining bonus!! ;) Spend less than half an hour on payday transferring backwards and forwards. Sounds like hassle, but the pennies do add up eventually!! lol :)

Short video on FB here. I'm hiding off the screen on the left in the blue top!! She took about half an hour of video so I was somewhat concerned as to what was actually going to make it's way onto FB! :rotfl: Great wee day though :D

Well, it's been decided that me and OH are not going on holiday now in July. BUT we are going in November. Long weekend. Almost had the flights booked last night but stupid card got stuck on the verified by visa bit. Wasn't impressed! :p Waiting on NW to get back to me so I can get it sorted. Sooooooo excited you would not believe :D:D:D Will not be giving away anything more until it's actually booked!! :p;)

Weather is GORGEOUS today!! :D Meant to be good until the weekend which is fab! I'm off from Thursday so good timing!! ;) So long as I don't melt meantime!!

Hope everyone is well. Good weekends all around??
