Oooooh! Lots of visitors!! I like it :D Thanks everyone for stopping by!!
Awww massive congratualtions Auntie HeadAboveWater :rotfl:!!!!
    Congratulations Auntie HAW :D

    Thanks :D
Unfortunately the excitement was completely and utterly blotted out by my sister. Long story very short: mum and dad went to visit on Wed. Then I called with mum and dad on Thur. We were chatting about the baby and I asked mum if she had any photos. She said that sister had stated specifically that she wasn’t to show me any photos, and I had to go see the baby for myself
Fast forward to yesterday and I did actually go visit with mum and dad. Few hours after I got home, I found out that sister had sent my brother a photo yesterday morning (and no he hasn’t been to visit yet either)

    Families!! :mad::mad::mad:
Think we are going a wee cruise around Italy possibly, but OH is changing his mind aswell!

    Aw sounds FAB FAB FAB!!!!!
I'm so excited to hear the holiday plans! It sounds BIG! :D

It will be big – if we ever get around to booking it! :p Do not want to be leaving that to the last minute or it’ll never happen! :(

    Men!
I know I will have missed you already, but hope you have a lovely weekend Xx
    Enjoy your hols!

A nice loooooong one at that ;) So far so good!
Noooooooo you're not allowed to just disappear for 6 weeks *blinks*...
    *BLINKS*

    *OPEN AND CLOSES MOUTH*

    *BLINKS AGAIN*

She's away for 6 weeks? WHAT?! But I tap in here for inspiration or when I am weak?

How can she DO this? Can we complain?

I think she's back next week, not sure where 6 weeks came from!
    Chinese whispers!

I have NO idea where 6 weeks came from either, but thanks for setting them straight Bex :D

(PS. Complaints can be PMd directly to moi ;))
I've been a bit awol myself so can't really comment on you being here or not. I think I need more vegetables. I am always tired! Just watching you wiggle away at Zumba made me tired!!!

    :rotfl:
Considering I’ve been off work a week, I really shouldn’t be tired. But OH was working yesterday and today so alarm has had to be set for 6.40am :( He rang there and I suggested maybe for the rest of the summer he’d consider starting work at 8 instead of 7.30am. His answer was for me to get another room

    Gee thanks. Not!!!!
If my debt racks back up again HAW - It's all your fault. All. Your. Fault.

    Ummmmm……. :o

Busy hols so far but fun!!
Thursday me and DD3 went to visit mum and dad.
Friday OH me and DD3 went to the beach. Had a BBQ in the evening too, and invited mum and dad.
Saturday went to the Next sale in Junction One. Spent £73. Returned £49. Spent £10. So not bad!! ;)
Sunday OH DD2 DD3 and me went for a walk in to Portstewart then got icecreams and coffee.
Monday me and OH went into town.
Yesterday went to Belfast to my sisters.
(I'm convinced I'm missing out stuff but mind has gone blank on me!!)
Today me OH and DD2 are heading away. Staying in a hotel tonight, then heading on to Glenveagh National Park tomorrow for a big walk :D

So as you can tell, pretty busy/crazy/spendy holiday so far! :)

Just checked - passed all my Tech Cert Business Admin exams :j:j

    *phew* Big post!!

Again, great to hear from everyone, and will be back on Monday to catch up with you all - if not before!

    Happy sunny holiday!! :D:cool:

Congrats on passing your exams! :T

Enjoy your holidays; especially the trip to Glenveagh - staying in a hotel makes even a short trip special, doesn't it?

Families? ..Don't understand the weirdness about 'photos - thought for a sad moment New Mum forbade 'em because her babe has some kind of disfigurement or serious health problem.. (not that even such a reason is good enough to ban 'photos).
    ..Families? - Inexplicable! :o

Aw the rest of my hols was great! :D Spent a fortune but worth every penny! Glenveagh was absolutely beautiful!! :D Both me and OH agreed that we need to go back again, maybe on the bicycles and cover more land! We only walked 3.5kms and the area is 16k hectares!!
:j to passing the exams - congratulations!

    Yeah, families are weird! :p

Robin, that thought had actually crossed my mind! :o The fact that there was maybe some sort of physical deformity that she didn't want photos passed around!? But seemingly it was just me  (blackmail to get me to visit ya think?!)

So, yeah, spent a fortune while I was off :( I think my idea of spending on a cashback credit card and leaving money in my bank account to accrue interest will work, but my problem is that I haven't been strict enough with myself. For shopping and fuel etc, when OH gives me half the ££, I NEED to put it away, then use it to help pay off the card in full every month. I've just spent the cash instead :(

    Naughty! Naughty! :naughty:

Any tips would be much appreciated!!! :o

Had 1 big spend whilst I was off - a new bike!!!! :DThis one. I absolutely love it. Matt black. And yes I know it's a guys bike before you's say anything! Just got it on Saturday so have only been out for 5 mins trying it out, but will take it for a proper test drive this evening :D Can't wait!
Lidl have had cycling gear in too, so managed to get compression top and bottoms, gel seat and a helmet, all very reasonable. Got gloves from when I did polercise. Only other stuff I would need would be lights, and mudflaps for [STRIKE]when[/STRIKE] if the rain comes.

Still no holiday booked, but I think getting the one night away last week, plus the absolutely fab weather, has settled me for a bit!! :) Will get this months credit card bill sorted first then think about it again. Will be able to access my FD money in less than 2 months, so hopefully still get a good deal then, without the ££ stress ;)

Hope everyone is well! Think I've said hello in most diaries, but big apologies if I've missed anyone :o (Monday head on me)
Good to be back and catching up with everyone again!! Actually missed MSE!! :rotfl:

Lovely bike, take care on it!! No tips re cashback card I'm afraid, I'd never be disciplined enough to make it work :o Xx

Hi All. HAW, congrats on becomming an auntie again. But I know what you mean about 'families', someone is due in OH's family and they've turned it into a 3 ring circus. The pair don't have 2 pennies to rub together, the dad-to-be is pretty sensible but the mum-to-be is spending money like water. She's bought designer trainers for the baby!!!! They were £200! They don't even have their own place yet, the dad-to-be is looking at a private rent and OH said to me that he thought £300 a month for a 1 bed (all they can afford) was expensive and I said .... er..no thats cheap!!!! The mum-to-be has drawn up a list of stuff and its all mega expensive (£1200 for the pram). the worst of it is that the majority of OH's family are running amock with it when they don't have the money to do so.

    Congrats on passing the exams.

Just seen the forum is read only this weekend.....what will we do when we can't post!!! Off to update my own diary.

Lovely bike, take care on it!!

:D Had its first outing last night. Mum's staying in a caravan in Portrush so went to visit her. 4.5 miles each way. All kitted out with helmet, gloves, etc etc. Felt really silly but was good to get out :)

    Apparently neither am I :eek::rotfl:

It's been a long week but it's flown in too :o

Glad today is Friday and I'll be glad to get home in a few hours.

There are fireworks in Portstewart tomorrow night, so we're taking the girls down. Looking forward to that :) Me and OH have both booked Monday off :D Don't really have any other plans - just have to wait and see what the weather is like :o

Have had a bit of a rough couple weeks with regards to families and friends :( I'm an over-thinker, a worrier, I'm emotional and I take things to heart. All this stuff happening just isn't doing me any good :p Hopefully it'll all sort itself out sooner rather than later....

Everybody - enjoy the weekend! And look after number 1 please :)

Look after no1! I am still learning that the hard way!

LOVE love your new bike! Love the matt black....very cool!

And it's alright to spend money on a holiday! I've given myself the rule where it is alright to spend the money if A) you have it and B) you have/get something to show from it! Like a holiday or bike or something! I had 6k on a credit card and literally nothing to show for it! Went on junk! X

HAW, don't see being emotional as a bad thing. Unfortunately though sometimes some people see that as a weakness and try (even inadvertently) to exploit it. OH and I were at SIL's a few days ago and she knew it was OH's birthday this weekend (its her brother) and yet no card. Yet we never miss her families birthdays, one recently we gave a card and money. I never got a card for mine from them neither did SS. Yet if we miss theirs (once we were sending a card and it was delayed by a postal strike so it didn't arrive in time) we wouldn't hear the end of it.

    Did you enjoy the fireworks?
