You're very organised nicolula87
I hate shopping full stopI have started to enjoy food shopping right enough, but it all depends on what mood OH is in!! :rotfl:
For Christmas I bought most of the presents onlineBest way by far! Have done this for quite a few years now. Saves hassle, money and time. Have a few more bits to get, but like you, I've an idea of what to get so it's just a matter of getting it!
Have checked my totals for present shopping so far and I'm doing rather wellJust keeping things to a minimum as best I can.
And (hopefully!) tonight me and OH will get our wee hotel stay bookedWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
:j
Have just checked my Halifax account online and I've received my first £5 from them!Haven't even had the account a month yet!! lol
It'll be a loooooooooooooooooong time before I get back the equivalent of all the charges and fees I paid them over the years, but it's £5 closer!
Big smilesWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Yay I get the £5 every month too!
Had a very Christmassy day today, decided to make everyone coming for dinner a personalised chocolate slab, and a few other people as well for pressies. So spent a fortune on chocolate and sweets BUT it should work out at about 15 or so pressies for people for under a fiver each. Might work it out later!Kitchen Debt - 2820/260Save £12k in 2013 #060: 1293.24/3000MFW: 88760.00/85000.00 (4.24% paid)0 -
Nicola a personalised chocolate slab sounds fab. Are you icing their name on it?
HAW, how are you? I got my £5 too, need to transfer it to the debt (thats what I'm doing at the moment is any interest made on pension money and my £5 reward goes to debt).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Happy Friday everyone
Yes, I was wondering about the personalisation of it too. Icing? Love the idea
I know £5 doesn't maybe sound like a lot, but it does soon add up! Anything to get the debt down or the savings up - every little helps
Got our hotel booked for over the Christmas period :j We're for staying hereIt's nothing spectacular but it's at a very good price, and we'll be using any extra money we have for shopping anyway!
Have started reading another book called You Can Be Happy. Again, borrowed from the library (very MSE!). So far still on the introduction and can't say much, so will report back after I've read a bit more!
Not a NSD today though as I got our hotel booked, got scones for work (apple and cinnamon), and now need to buy lunch as we'd only 1 slice of bread left in the house
Listed 5 items on ebay and sold 4 of them and they need posted today too. Have managed 2 NSDs this month already which I'm pleased about so not gonna beat myself up about today!! I think I deserve a wee treat
Hope you all have a fab Friday! :jWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -

"Here" looks like a very comfortable base from which to explore Belfast. The family suites seem to be a particularly good deal - you'll have a lovely break there, HAW.Best of all; no washing up over Christmas!
Hope you have a Fab Friday, too.0 -
Just realised that by the way I worded the bit about the hotel it sounds like we're staying for a fortnight!!!
Unfortunately only staying one night:rotfl:
And no we won't have washing up to do on Christmas day - me and OH cook, the girls do the dishes. SortedWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Even a night away HAW is a treat. Any word from Pencakes? I keep looking into her diary but nothing. Pencakes is back! Just seen she posted in her diary not so long ago
One night is better than no nights! Me and OH agreed we'd do that instead of buying a present for each other
You sound like you're ready to pounce on your wages as soon as they appear!! lolMiss Organised!!
