  • Mmmm Im thinking about chilli now! :D Might be on the cards for tea!

We were going to look at the place again but Ive just found out we missed it because someone had the money and could move this weekend. Luckily there's another one in the same development so we're gonna check that out too. Im going on another viewing tonight as well. Its all a bit tiring but I do like being nosey. And my current flatmates keep using my shampoo! I wouldnt mind if they asked, but all of a sudden my bottle is looking pretty empty.. its only petty stuff but it does make me want to move out sooner rather than later!

I'm not usually one for staying out late either, but I was [STRIKE]so drunk[/STRIKE] having so much fun I didnt realise the time!

  • Mmmmm yummy! (here we go talking about food again - story of my life!! :rotfl:)

Think me and OH are having salmon tagliatelle tonight. Mmmm :D Love it!!!!
Had a turkey (!!) stir fry, spicy szechuan tomato sauce, noodles and fresh flatbread last night. The whole meal for the 2 of us cost about £1.20 total coz we'd raided the Mr T reduced section! ;)

Fingers crossed for the other place :D
I agree with the being nosey bit. I can be like that sometimes too. See how the other half live ;) ha ha

Oh don't like that!! Housemates using your stuff?? No! No! No! When I shared it was me and 3 guys () so no smellies would've been 'borrowed'. I did keep all my stuff in my room. What bugged me was my kitchen stuff being 'borrowed'. And usually not cleaned to my standards  Ended up keeping all that stuff in my room too!!!
Even now with OH, I keep all my hair/shower stuff in my room as his 3 girls use the shower in our en suite. They're not exactly worried about quantities being used because they're teenagers and because they're not paying for the stuff!! :p

    :rotfl:
Ah no point coming home early if you're having a good time ;)

  • Soooooooooooooooo not doing good at my NSDs this month at all :( And budget is all out of sorts too :( I'm blaming Christmas!!! ;)

Counted up my 'shrapnel' at the weekend and was able to lodge £103 in the bank  :D Needless to say it's pretty much gone already but never mind!!

Have managed to get mum sorted for Christmas. Was gonna get her a digital camera but dad had the same idea. So he's getting that, and I'm sorting a case and memory card. I'm also getting her a digital photo frame :)

Just dad and OH DDs1-3 to sort now :)

Got a letter from HMRC at the weekend saying I've underpaid my tax!! Going by their somewhat vague letter, I've apparently overlapped in my employment (which I haven't)! Yes I've changed jobs twice in the last tax year, but all clean cut, so someone somewhere has got their dates wrong and I get billed :(
    Away to try to sort...

  • Hello :)

Just back from Dr and got all clear in regards to the cough that was bothering me a few months ago :j Haven't been having any problems recently so wasn't expecting anything else. Well, hoping at least!! ;)

Have also put on nearly 2kgs in weight since the start of the month which will keep OH and SIL happy :o

Still trying to get HMRC stuff checked out. And yes it does look as though I owe them money :( For whatever reason, when I switched jobs in May 2011, they didn't take any PAYE tax off me until middle of July. The tax code is correct on all my payslips. And for whatever other reason, they didn't take into account the £££ I'd received from my previous job from April til May either. Which again doesn't make sense as they got my P45 from my previous job ok :(

Only good thing is that they'll amend my tax code for 2012/13 and deduct weekly, rather than me having to fork out the full whack 4 weeks before Christmas  :)

So guessing it's a good day all in all :D

Thats not good about your tax HAW, you would have thought it would have been sorted out at the time then you wouldn't have this at christmas! I need to sort out my tax and ni for my tarot. I keep saying I'll put money by but it always gets used for something!

  • You'd think! :p

I probably did see at the time that I wasn't paying PAYE tax on the first few payslips, but because the £££ from my previous job was SSP, I just assumed it was something to do with that. Obviously not! :p Only got myself to blame really! :o

Used to do a SA when I worked with Vie At Home. Bit of a nightmare in a way, but kinda straight forward once you get the hang of it! Glad it's all out of the way though :)

Hard to keep the money to the side for that sort of stuff. There's always something else that's more urgent!!! Yeah. On that point. Why do they have the deadline of the end of January for SA when you've just had Christmas and the January sales?!
(and now some smart bum will come along and say 'you've the whole year from the previous April - stop leaving it til the last minute!' :p) :rotfl:
