mmmm just a thought - I know you're around to scoop several times a day when I know myself & GR etc are out at work & therefore (in my case anyway) generally only get a change to scoop before leaving for work & then after work (and at bedtime if needed).

Wondering if the Tigerino really does need a lot more time to clump properly?

Hi rising! I sometimes work from home and sometimes (like today) I leave at 6am and don't get home till after 6pm and it was still the same when I got home today, so the theory doesn't stand up, sorry ;)

I'll use up what I've got because it's not an awful product, but in my view, OKO is worth the slight extra as it isn't actually double the cost of Tigerino as was said earlier.

    Good try though :rotfl:

Rubbish - we KNOW you guard the trays with a timer set for each cat, measuring cup and a microscope 24/7...

NO matter what you SAY - we KNOW the TRUTH....

Well, the time came today when there was so little Tigerino left in the tray that it needed to be changed. The OKO, meanwhile would have easily lasted until the weekend.

I cleaned out both trays though, as if I was doing one, I may as well do the other... refilled both with Tigerino to get it used up.

I don't regret buying it as it serves its function. Just doesn't do it as well as OKO IMO and so I'm pleased I only got 40L.

I would be interested to see if everyone else's lasts as long as OKO (if you've used both), or whether it's just my cats who are a bit odd :rotfl:

I will not know fgor sure till I get to second 10 litre bag as the first one I used kind of with OK in one litter etc etc.

Once I have 1Tigerino 10 litre bag split into 2 boxes - that will be the "how long it lasts" test for real. Oko would last 2 weeks (10 liters) so will see then... LOL

Still - for my 4, Tigerino clumps better ... diferently as Oko was clumping into round things and Tigerino clumps into flat pancakes but Tigetino holds better - I have a big scoop though...hmmmm

I have a big scoop too ;) It clumped into flat pancakes for me a lot of the time... with lots of baby pancakes around the edges :rotfl:
  • mmmm I have a wee problem ..... and in the spirit of posting a true reflection of the product:

    tracking

It may be slightly worse for me as I changed from wood pellets (don't really track & as they're big bits, they tend to fall off the cats' feet fairly quickly = doesn't come out the cats' room) ...... but OMG, it's everywhere in their room, the upstairs hall, my bedroom ..... my bed:eek::eek: (yup, they do go under the covers) - lay on something the other night & thought "what on earth's that?" and guess what ....... mmmmm

2nd wee niggle (but liveable with :)) - it takes a lot longer to clean out the tray by the time I've dug through and hunted for the wee's ...... and then ages to sift through & sieve it through the scoop but the upside is that there's very little waste :)...... mmmmmm

Having used this now for 3ish weeks I have noticed some common issues

    As above - Tracking.
It is a nightmare for this. I have bits in all rooms where there is a tray. And I also get little bits in my bed now and then. These bits may be coming from my cats feet or from mine - I'm not sure which as if I hoovered every time I see a bit of litter the cats would be constantly hiding and I would only ever hoover.
My cats are quite messy with litter though - I haven't had a litter that hasn't tracked yet. They tend to hop, skip and jump out of the trays!

It is really really good in terms of how much is used. I haven't finished the 1st small bag yet - not even close even when using 2 trays. It clumps really well so I only take out what I need. This only works when one of the cats haven't already got in a dug a space, unclumping a wee I didn't know was there!
I haven't had to change the tray completely as often either. Only once a week instead of every 2-3 days.

Overall I say it's a great litter. It's solved problems of other ones and hasn't got any additional ones.
